APA Regionals in Albany this weekend

I live three miles from the site. Very disappointed in the locations and equipment that the Albany and Saratoga regions use for their LTCs. You guys are classy.

Maybe next year they can all team up and have it at the casino in Schenectady that opens next year.

Good luck. My team is going to Vegas out of Saratoga APA. Beer on me if you get there.

I'm not, but good luck! I rarely see Albany area mentioned. I've lived all over that area: Albany, Clifton Park, Latham, Cohoes, Watervliet.. worked in Saratoga, Schenectady, Rotterdam, Glens Falls.

How late is play going today? I might try to stop by later. I'm stuck at a lacrosse tournament most of the day.

I don't live near Albany, but I do play a few rooms there. Didn't we try to get a game going once before ?
At any rate: I should be in Utica or Amsterdam NY this week.

Yeah, my team played but our sl3 ducked out so we had trouble staying under the 23 cap. Funny how some people can play like a sl5 or 6 and stay a sl3 the entire session. I sneeze the wrong way and my sl goes up!

were does saratoga apa play i live in wilton and I got to go all the way to Fort Edwards or clifton park if I wanna play on a real table
 
Yeah, that is true. They are APA Hudson Valley so I was using our league name. I live just south of Albany so Clifton Park is far enough.

It was a really nice setup with plenty of practice tables, refs and a large room. Sorry I didn't get to connect with the responders here I left before anyone replied and didn't really check the site.

This was my first APA season and regionals / tournament - was an awesome experience. I was playing both 8 and nine ball.

Nine ball team got bumped in the second round, I lost as an SL5 by 2 balls to a SL2 after winning my first match.

In eight ball I killed it, played my first 2 matches as a SL5 with an eight on the break, both matches rackless and a break and run in each match...

So I got bumped to a 6 for the semi-finals and we lost in sudden death :(

I'm feeling really good that I didn't fold, my PSR and stroke held up under pressure and I was able to survive on a diet of hot wings, celery and B.O. for 48 hours..lol

Sounds like a good experience. How big were your brackets, 16 teams? One thing I will say about my area. We get split into two 8 team brackets so three matches gets the trip for two teams.

8 ball was 8 brackets of 16 teams, 9 ball is smaller with just 1 bracket of 16...
