APA to increase skill levels

10 in 9 ball, 8 in 8 ball. Have you heard this? When will it begin? Have field tested? Will the 23 rule increase also?

I don't know... This league is already stacked against having high-rated players as it is... I can't see what this will accomplish unless they raise the cap.

I shoot in the UPA and the rating system has been 2-10 all along. Works out pretty good & cap is 27 or 28 per night

On another league note, the BCA is implementing a cap for team FARGO scores in our area. Already had one team quit instead of breaking up and creating two weaker teams. Anyone else have this?

Am I missing something? Two 2's trying to get through 2-4 8ball games or finish 3 or 4 9ball racks usually take longer than any 6-7-8 matches. Another rack or two by upper rated players isn't going to add that much time, if any

I don't think the extra rack will affect the time on the higher ranked players but I can see the roll out taking forever with two 4's that have been drinking. To your point, we have not been finishing until after midnight. Anyone else experiencing this?

Exactly!
Hopefully it's not a ploy to make more teams split. The 23 has to go up before I go back to APA. Tap's 25 is primarily why I play.

There is a huge difference between some 7's (8 ball) in out local league but the 8 thing only makes sense if they up the team limit

Not really, the high end 7's in 8 ball I know plow through racks in the matter of a few minutes. It's the 2/3's that make for a long night

Just to clear things up for everyone, this 8 handicap increase I was just told is about 3 years away from happening. Top 7's will need to win an extra game and are considered S7's (super 7)

I spoke with a person on the APA board and said there is zero truth to the 8 SL
