Apa tournament.. Do I have the right to be a little pissed?

B) You couldn't fade the League Op nullifying the results without properly marked innings and QUIT.

What the hell does that mean lol I wasn't upset with him nullifying the results.... I was upset he didn't say anything when he was keeping score for us 20 balls in to it. Again more proof people on this forum don't really read a post before posting themselvesv :)

What difference does it make? You would still have needed to restart even if it was caught then. I think the LO could have handled this better but at the end of the day it is your responsibility to know and understand the rules.

I would have had less of a problem starting when it was 10 10 or 11 9 whatever the score was at that point then when I'm winning 64 to like 23. It's even that early in the match ... At the end I'm the one being penalized and him rewarded when I was leading by that much. You can't see a difference? Lol

Also I believe I already said what you did... I should have known the rules and he could have handled it better early in the match. Shit happens ...I'll getm next time. I'm leaving now for the apa 9 ball playoffs so obviously I'm not to upset lol

I guess you have learned your lesson. Next time make sure you understand the rules so you don't quit like a big baby when things don't go your way.

Yeah, that does stink.

We never count innings in end-of-session play. (Best of The Best tournies.)

I haven't competed in Singles Qualifiers, so I don't know if they do that here or not. Probably have to count innings in that, I suppose, for handicapping reasons as you move along. I'm sure more experienced folks will be along shortly to add their .02.

That's too bad, that it had to go down that way.

It sounded more like it was a singles board match. Those do require full scorekeeping...they go on your record. Bottom line, this should have been made clear at the beginning of the tourney. It also should have been made clear at the time the LO came over to look at the sheet the first time.

Atta boy, dont let the LO ruin APA 9 ball for you. It is fun and you get credit for every ball you make. Study the rules, have fun and good luck.
The LO sounds like a real JERK!!!!!!!

Sounds like a nitty move by a nitty league. I don't know why anyone lines the pockets of Harry and Berry. They are about the only folks in the Billiards industry that are rolling in money.

... But he said nothing and btw looked at the score sheet like 6 or 7 more times during the match and never said a word that we weren't marking anything but balls made UNTIL I'm winning 62 to I think 24 and aiming an 8 9 combo with the 9 laying in the hole to put me on the hill with the break. He says you guys have to play this over! ...
I'm a cynic. I think a couple of things might have been going on. Maybe he feels there is an issue with you and he wanted to teach you a lesson. Maybe he wouldn't have said anything if the other player had been winning. Or maybe I'm too cynical.

Of course he should have explained exactly what you were supposed to be doing if he saw you weren't doing it right. Part of his job is making sure his customers -- and you are his customer -- know what they're supposed to do. He failed to do his job in this case.

In any case, unless you want to go to some other league, what he says, goes. It's his league.

No matter how cynical you get, it is impossible to keep up.
