APA-weird scenario

I would question why you are starting a 2nd table when the current match could very well end the match to begin with.

If I am not mistaken the LO has full control over someone's handicap and can manually move them up or down and can lock it so the computer does not change it as well.

Something here is not adding up correctly.

It wasn't my match, I was just an observer so I didn't know why, but lots of discussion from the results of it transpired.

League operators can raise but not lower what the computer is trying to do. This keeps league operators in check. They can raise, or undo a manual raise.

We don't finish 8 ball matches if they get to a point where the other team cannot possibly win................

Don't worry about it...........

Just play pool and have a good time.

Plot thickens....2 of my teammates were raised but I wasn't. Incidentally, we got knocked out when the captains incorrectly thought the other team only needed 50 cuz they had 3 wins. Sheets were turned in already. Turns out my match was the third and , while my opponent only needed 5 to my 13, we could've restarted. Oh well...whoops.

If they had 3 wins, 50 points is in fact all you need to clinch.

Sorry sir, tough ending. Human error is a part of it.

According to my LO, unfinished matches don't get entered in the computer (I play in the Japanese branch of APA).

Every match you play gets added in the computer. Absolutely.. That's why I find it strange you don't complete it

Thanks for the correction and jarring my memory. You are correct and I recall one of the St. Louis office people telling me that they can't lower someone, only raise and lock/unlock their rating.
