Apple live stream (for comparison to Billiard streams)

I thought some of the streamers and viewers would get a kick out of this. Its Apple's live stream of their developers conference. I think there might be hundreds of thousands of people worldwide watching this event live (a guess on my part).

Anyway, its cool to see what the state of the art offers and how it compares to our streams.

Edit, the live stream might only work on Apple devices... (on purpose of course). I've been watching these streams for 15 years:)

Wow, they might have a million people watching this thing. Stream is down on my end. When it was up, the quality was top notch with no lag. I guess pool streams are not the only ones that have issues :D

Yup.

Looks like Apple is out there on the bleeding edge:

:D

They could use youstream while there service is down. Works well for others who find unforeseen circumstances.

Ustream is not YouTube. But you're right they would rather eat glass than use anyone else's tech.

BTW all you have to do to be a pro player is call yourself one.

yep.and all you got to do is be a case designer that cannot make a case all by themselves without any help and you can call yourself a casemaker

Even though we run into some client side compatibility issues with Android, OSPN streams flawlessly to all devices in HLS over Flash and HLS over HTML5 (Safari), and also legacy buttons for HDS over Flash w/ Strobemedia playback.

You will notice that Bonus Ball uses some of our code as well.

We are almost done with 7 way trans coding effort. We'll hit every device on the planet by the end of the year. Even all legacy baseline profile devices such as older Apple ioS, Gameboy DS, and Xbox Live 360 via RTSP.

It's nice to not me limited by a network that chooses what they want to provide for you, limit your viewership potential, and then overcharge you for it.

That is why we gave birth to OSPN, and someday it will be free for all of us to use, just like ustream and others. And it will be supported by our industry, and not someone else who has no idea about billiards.

The LIVE stream said at the bottom it only worked with Apple devices. (I did not test on a PC). The link now takes you to a recording of the live stream. Don't shoot the messenger. That's what it said when it was LIVE.

How elitist is that?

Anyway I have a macbook pro for about two weeks now and it's pretty nice. So far it's handling everything I am throwing at it with no problem. Really silly to not have a backspace key and a delete key though.
