Appraising a Mali cue?

Hello, i am new to the forums and i came here for some help in trying to find out how much my Mali cue is worth. I got it a while back for around 300 but i havn't played much and want to get rid of it... I figured i would check out and see if the value has changed much but cant seem to find a listing of models for Mali cues anywhere.

maybe a short description will help out
It has a Gold Logo at the bottom, has pearl Double diamond inlays

any help in figuring out the model or a price on it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

mali cue value

Go over to the wanted for sale section and look at maybe the first 10 pages of listings. Notice how many Mali cues you see for sale. Then realize the reason you dont see that many is that they are not in demand. You will find more Meucci, Mcdermots, and Lucassi cues. Those maybe the more popular cues for sale that are not hand made customs. Good Luck

Maybe people love their Malis so much that they couldn't stand to part with them?

And these are your examples of "in demand" cues?

The sad part is it is worth more than you can get. Back in the 80's a few of the players on our team had Mali. I tried them and to me they were the same as my R5 Schon. I wasn't a cue expect at the time and I am not one now but at the time it seemed like one of the better cues.

my first "nice" cue was a Mali (had green MALI on the butt cap)....was a plain janer, but played well. Decided I had to have a Huebler (this was when I was pretty young -14??), so I sold the Mali and got one. Now I wish I still had 'em both! lol Guess I was destined to be on this site. (this was back in 87 or 88ish)

All the ones I have seen are so similar to Joss that I would find one similar and price it near that.

No demand, no market for Mali's.

I had areally nice older one and two days ago, I gave it away.

Russ.....

sometimes MANY at once http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=156852&highlight=mali

btw, I'm sure some of the ones from the link play VERY WELL, especially for the money. The OP of this thread can get an idea of what could be asked for his from this link - still may not get it, but will have an idea at a starting point.
