Aramith 100 new ball set out tomorrow

I'm really not sure what folks were expecting, maybe super cooling magnetics in each ball so they hover...

At the end of the day, the ball is still a celebration of 100 years of ball design and as a result, they went back and pulled in elements from the classics. So to my eye, I see a mix of Tournament, Crown Standard, and Contential along with throwback colors that they had moved away from.

I love them, the colors are strong, the design elements are minimalist and most of all the return of Oxblood is the highlight!

Seriously these are limited editions and I'm super pleased that most of you are not going to buy them which means more availability for those of us who do want them!
You're welcome. More power to ya.

I do sympathise with Aramith’s design team.

They are on a hiding to nothing in a sense… go too far with new innovations and it alienates the purists; stick with tradition and they’re accused of not doing enough.

It’s a tough gig!

Yes and their product is so durable it’s a once in a lifetime purchase for most people.

It's probably a great set, in quality and for a collector. My first thought is "hmm"

I like having dots on the cue ball, the blue and purple look similar and overal they look kind of old fashioned. But that mightve been their aim.

Again it probably is a great set, but I share your sentiment, Angus.
Agreed, 2 and 4 plus 10 and 12 ball are too close color-wise and I do not like the inconsistent number labeling. I'm fine with the cue ball but all the rest should have had the same numeric font throughout the set.

At $600 I’m not sure I would ever use them. They would be more of a collectible or investment.
I bought a set of Centennials 15 years ago for around $250 and they have never been hit.
I‘m too old to invest in pool balls.
Now if the new material made them play better than my current super pro’s, maybe I would consider them.

I jumped ship from Aramith when they butchered the ball colors.
I understand this is a quality set, but they look cheap to me.
Hard pass for me.

...as for the 4 ball they should have made a little darker purple.
That "purple" needs more red (purple = blue+red).

That and the price are the only things I don't like about them.

Oh, they’ll be plenty of inventory….This design is going to be a flop.

I'm sure anyone would play with them. The question is, would you buy them?

"... Aramith100 is 5 times more resistant to impacts compared to our Super Aramith Pro or Tournament ball sets, which were already by far the most resistant on the market."

"This reinforced layer also makes the Aramith100 resin 3 times more resistant to wear, scratch and stain than any other phenol-like billiard balls on the market."

"With a higher hydrophilic molecular structure, Aramith100 resin enhances anti-static properties. This resin further prevents the balls from building a static charge and hold dust particles. Thus, it drastically minimizes the risk for kicks, skids or poor contacts during a game."

Yeah, I might be in.
