I just tried Atamith Cleaner in my new model Centennials and left little with spots all over the balls almost like small impact dots. What the hell is it and how do I remove? I tried polishing with micro fiber but still there. Can post pictures tomorrow when go back out to garage

Did you use a ball-cleaner? Which model? How much of the Aramith cleaner was applied?

My understanding for an 8 ball rotation is one drop at 12:00 and one drop at 6:00. Clean for a few minutes.

Yes aramith cleaner with pea size drop per ball with a buffer in a 5 gallon pail with wool pad

don't need anywhere near that much. get microfiber bonnets. cheap on amazon. much better than the standard buffer bonnets.

We can only assume how you clean them... by hand? Bucket polisher?

I had a similar problem. I switched the carpets i had in my 5 gallon bucket and didn't spin them as long. I think some of the cleaner was getting heated up and baking on the balls. I used to spin them for 10 to 15 min. Now I only spin them for 5 min tops. Your also using way too much cleaner on those balls. I put a small dab on the corner of a towel and just lightly touch each ball.

One drip per every two or three balls works for me.

I use that stuff every other week and never got anything but good results. Did you give the bottle a good shake before hand?
I'd be looking into your bucket for something that don't belong

I have one set of Centennials that get these spots and another that doesn't. I had them before I started cleaning the balls at all. I use a Clean Gleem machine now and the spots almost go away. They almost look like a water spot under the coating of the ball.

Those are impact marks from the balls colliding in the polisher; a flaw in the unit. After several iterations of attempting to isolate the balls in my own unit, I came up with this. No more white impact marks. Also, less is more when dealing with cleaning solution.

Question.... how do balls get impact marks in the polisher, yet you dont get them when they collide on the table?
Not saying you are wrong... I have no idea... but curious. I dont get marks on the balls in my polisher.

No idea. Perhaps from the cleaning solution? When I first built a bucket unit I noticed the white marks on the balls after a cycle. Trial and error led me to the conclusion it was from the balls colliding.

I was thinking of the possibility of the flecks from the cuts out in the bucket walls, may be the debris.

Balls never hit the bucket sides if you do it right. Balls should only touch the buffer bonnet and the carpet liner. I helped a friend make one and its never done this. No marks of any kind. Have no clue whats causing the OP's issue.
