Archer and Varner Tour (OKC) - Family Friendly Location

If anyone wants to join in on a clinic in OKC to be held at a family friendly location, drop me a line.

I am attending the clinic at Joe's (which already has 7 signed up) but I am trying to help a friend by helping set up a second clinic at a location where minors can attend. This would be a memory of a lifetime for a young player! We have 2 and need 6 more.

Where and when
Break, I can't tell you where as Okie is working on this. Kudos to him for trying to get a clinic together for the younger players. I can tell you when though, it will be on Sunday September 23rd and would begin around 4pm in the afternoon til 8pm. I Hope it can work out for all concerned. Thanks again Okie for giving this a shot.

Mark does a great job putting these tours together, i went to the Riverside show few months back, it was real good. Its very much worthwhile to go see, hell I drove for 3 hours in LA traffic to go to it and was glad I did. I remember 3 or 4 years ago when we were all talking about how to put together a Tour at my house in Vegas, I take no credit-Mark, JA and Nicky did one hell of a job(credit to Earl in the beginning too), the focus now is to make the show different when they come to a city again, so it won't be a rerun. Thanks again Mark!!!!

Thanks Eric for the kind words. The show has gotten better every time we have gone out. Oh and its not 3 or 4 years ago its more like 5 or 6 years I believe. Time flies eh? Thankls again.

In addition, this would be a great opportunity for a Father and Son/Mother and Daughter or any variation of that to come out and pick up their game together. Just thinking about it I would have loved to do something like this with my Dad when I was just getting into Snooker.

I am going to call Kent Taylor at AAA and see if he would be willing to host this clinic. For the record I am out on a limb here. I have not spoken to anyone at AAA yet. I hoped to be able to use some numbers to show Kent the interest in an event at his place.

If anyone knows of another place which is family friendly, I am all ears.

Like Mark pointed out, this is a great outing for a pool playing family!

Ken

Talked with Kent tonight and he is on board! AAA Billiards is a family friendly environment. No smoking and no alcohol. This is a great opportunity to learn from a couple of the best players to ever play in one of the nicer rooms in OKC.

If you're interested in participating drop me a line so I can get this squared away.

Thanks!

Ken

Nice shot Ken , good idea If I can help let me know. Robert

I have had zero interest in doing this extra session. So much for that idea. ;)

But we will have a ball at Jamaica Joe's with these guys! I am looking forward to it!

Also Felix, the Midwest 9 Ball Tour is in town this weekend at Jamaica Joe's!

excited

Looking forward to the Archer and Varner tour. I am sure that it is going to be a lot of fun.

Also, thanks for talking me into/ coaxing/ persuading me into playing in the tourny last night. I was definitly in over my head but I had fun, and it was a pleasure to get in on the action.

Its ok, Ken. We will figure something out for the Junior player that wants to be involved somehow. Also the regular clinic I believe has 8 signed up already and we are a month away so I imagine that one is going to fill up pretty soon so if anyone is sitting on the fence, you might want to make a decision before its too late. Thanks for trying Ken but no worries we will take care of your friends son somehow.

It was good to see ya out last night. You did well!

Stay at it and there is only one way to go! The magic is in the perseverance!

Perseverance

Mark... I intend on being there, and I will certainly make my way over and say "hi". I look forward to meeting you.

Ken... Perseverance is the key, but I am really optomistic about the journey.
