TRICK SHOTS

<----the TRICK SHOT is the LESSON @ the TODAY SHOW.

I'm not really known for being a "trick shot expert" however, I've done some TV Morning Shows in my career - here's the GOOD MORNING TEXAS SHOW I did and, yes, there were a few trick shots required.

Aw, C.J. has a cute Southern accent. I like it! :grin-loving:

Interesting question, do you say "billiards player" or "pool player"?

Johnny should do that Houdini shot. That one looks like it's fairly safe to execute on live TV. :)

he said "that a lot of money!" in broken english

Yes, this "Houdini Shot" is one I'd suggest to Johnny to do, but I'm sure he'll come up iwth a great one himself.

This 'Good Morning Texas' show was in 1996 right after I'd won the ESPN World Open and put the checks for $88,000 in my pants pocket that went to the dry cleaners.

I'll always remember the look on the dry cleaner's face when I want in to get those checks.....he said "that a lot of money!" in broken english:eek: I just smiled and nodded....... indeed, it was certainly a fair amount for a pool tournament.....still to this day.

No point making and crying for excuses dudes !!!! Team Europe is to good for U S A ......Why simply because they handle the pressure better ..

And who can deny the energy that Dennis Hatch brings to the any pool competition. Team USA needs Dennis "Hatchetman" Hatch. He will complement the other players on the five-member team. :)

Win or lose, let's face it. Dennis just makes pool exciting to watch. And he has been scoring some big wins as of late. He's back in stroke and ready to rumble!

I agree 199%. Never seen him in person, but if he looks like he did in Bonus Ball, he oughta be on the cover of every pool magazine in the world.

It may be a bit too risky for Johnny but one of the extreme bank shots on CJ's TIPS dvd would be more real life pool & less gimmicky if you know what I mean.

I just wish him all of the Good Luck in the World as this is the best opportunity the game has had to be promoted on a National basis in quite some time.

My Prayers will be with him.

To Johnny,

Say your prayers & let God play through you...& maybe give Him a little National Air Time too.

well aren't you just a little cutie!
(and i can say that, cause my man's standing here, watching the video. and i was referring to the SHOT.)

when are yáll coming through? i've got an Earl-protegé who plays almost solid bank-shots. and he wants to meet-cha! he's #2 @ MG's American Rotation.

I would guess we'll be there in 7-10 days

We're getting ready to get ready to come over that way. Mary's excited about seeing the country east of the Mississippi, she's never been over through Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas before.

I would guess we'll be there in 7-10 days. I may do some lesson seminars along the way, a few have contacted me about it the last few months....in the "old days" there was action all through that area, and it seems those days are history.

if yáll are coming 20 @ Atlanta through Montgomery, tell Mary to HOLD HER BREATH for 2 hrs through Alabama's paper mills @ 95mph!

and then yáll can roll-into "Church" @ Atlanta, downtown.... it's where Lady Gaga hangs - pool & ping pong.
