Banks said:Somebody tell Earl to watch Joe Tucker's video. I went to BCA and had someone who was with Earl for that teaching thing comment on my 8-ball break position. He had told me Earl said that was where you should be breaking from (behind the 1st diamond) in 8 and also behind the line in 9 to make a 9 on the break. I set up a rack with the gap and nailed it on the first try. Earl should send me (or Joe Tucker) $200.
With how good all of those pros are.. I really think half of their teachings are still needless. If you don't have an idea of strategy, your game still won't be worth a damn. And as far as some of the ways they say you must do things, maybe that works for them, but I've seen enough people excel with their own unique styles (just look at the batting/pitching styles in baseball). Next they'll be telling you to wear underoos and those ghastly croc shoe-things for your game to improve.
Just play the damn game and work at it if you want to improve.
Tell you what....if you take a lesson and don't learn SEVERAL things that will improve your game....you need to give it up. Only an idiot wouldn't learn something.
Have you excelled with you're 'own unique style'? If so, how come nobody knows you, or has never heard of you?
Why come on this thread and badmouth it?
Maybe you should start giving lessons to the Pros...(LMAO) You did make a 9 on the break ONE time, didn't you?
