Archer V Strickland Bad Blood, It's on!

Ok, we have the Location dialed in. As long as we have no issues with the internet connection we are happy to be playing at Drifters. Here is their link to the website http://drifterspoolroom.com/index.html

So all is looking good for the Archer V Strickland match. Once we have some sponsors in place I will be putting out the press release. Also I need to get the date set for the Hatch V Appleton Bad blood match. More info to follow.

I am not sure if you can see it from the pic on their website bit there is another room that is pretty big and closed off so we won't be in the middle of the pool hall doing this. Thats what I have been told anyway.
 
Just played a 9ball tourney there yesterday, should work out really well. Can't wait to get this goin!
 
All I see are bar tables there, true?

And someone needs to tell them to find a new webmaster, that is such a cliche 80s or early 90s web page.

There should be some other pro players doing the comentary if this is going to be a PPV match. TVMike has does a great job on the video, but this could be a great match that people will watch for years, so we need to make sure there is propery commentary, not Sherodaka as she is just learning. If Sherodaka is going to do the commentary please let everyone know ahead of time. Thank you.

Ugetthe6, I totally agree. This is why mike will be using 2 cameras (Maybe 3) and I want this to be a good production. TvMike's cameras are HD if anyone has ever seen his little local streams that he has done the picture quality is great. Along with the players being miced up should make for a very good event. I also want it to be good quality as I will be doing more of these and hopefully with TvMike and everyone else that are involved in this one.
To Answer your question on commentary, I have spoken with Nick Varner, Jay Helford JoeyA and Grady Mathews. I think I can only afford one of them for this event but if It is successful I have no problem getting the other guys involved. Nick and I have a business relationship and due to that he has offered to help me out with this one and do Commentary. This is a great choice in my opinion as he has 8 World titles and they include a a World title in 8-ball, Straight pool which are both games to be played in the match. Obviously he also has a world title in 9-ball too which isn't that far away from 10-ball for him to be able to speak intelligently on the whole match.
I hope this answers your question and it is to everyones approval.

More info to come as we go and more surprises too :) Remember we will be doing a drawing for Johnny Archers Mosconi Cup Shirt (Signed) among all who sign up for the PPV.

As a previous poster said please let all your Pool friends know about this event via facebook, Twitter etc. If we can make this a success then there will be many many more and the matches will stay top quality and the production will get better.

Mark you made my day. Yes Mike has some nice cameras, he is second to only Big Truck (IMHO)... I look forward to this stream, event and more things to come from you...

Nick Varner is always a great choice, whether it is as a commentator or Captain of the Mosconi Cup Team. I appreciate you keeping me in the loop Mark!

Just make sure the player's microphones are turned up nice and loud so we can hear it when they talk to themselves. We want to hear it ALL!

Just how bad is the blood between them? Odds of punches being thrown? Think of the PPV viewers for that!

Johnny's punches will be slow and deadly accurate.

Earl's punches will be fast and uncannily powerful.

LOL, well Cleary I would hate to see anyone come to punches over a game of pool. However, a little argument or two would not hurt ratings :) I am really not sure what to expect. I will be surprised if there isn't a heated discussion at some point.

Ah crap! Thanks for reminding me, I still got to get a referee. Thinking about your post I may need a big one. I wonder if Justin from TAR can ref :)
