I am always looking to try new ideas for marketing, so here goes.
Johnny Archer and Nick Varner will be touring the West Coast as part of the Legends and Champions pool Tour. at the end of April to the beginning of May. We have already secured exhibitions and place to hold pool schools in a few places where we have held exhibitins before but we have a couple of areas that we have not held a exhibition before only pool schools.
So after listening to a couple of people and their ideas I thought I would give this opportunity to anyone who wants it.
Here is the deal,
Johnny Archer and Nick Varner will hold a 3 1/2hr exhibition at your home, private room in a pool room or for a pool room.
The exhibition includes, 1st hour Nick Varner will perform trick shots, stroke shots and demonstrations while mixing his own brand of humor.
2nd Hour Johnny Archer will play a mini challenge match against the local house pro, League Champion or whoever is nominated in a race to 7. That would be 8-ball or 9-ball.
3rd hr we will draw raffle tickets for the chance to play on eith team Archer or Team Varner in a rack of Scotch Doubles. (8 drawings) then the remainder of the time will be spent meeting people, signing cues and taking pictures etc.
Obviously having two of the greatest players who ever lived spend this much time has a fee, the fee is $1,500.00.
Here is a couple of ideas on how to make this happen, a) a pool room can book this show and charge a door fee if they choose, they are also able to obtain sponsorship from local billiard suply companies and hand their banner at our exhibition tey can hold a raffle for the chance to play Johnny Archer in the mini challenge match and don't forget that the pool room will get alot of attention and advertising as a result of this event and finally the spectators will usually be buying food and drinks while there.
These are just a few of the ideas for a POOL ROOM.
b) Private exhibition, we have done this now a number of times and everyone has a great time. All you need is to get 15 pool friends or more together and have each pay $110.00 this will cover the exhibition fee and leave $150 over and this is usually used to buy some beers, wine and a selection of appitizers/sandwiches etc.
As far as location for this you can hold it at a friends house who has a table and a little room for evryone to fit or if your local pool room has a private area that can be used.
With a private show things can be moved around so the small group all get a chance to play and we can customize the evening.
The areas that I am looking at right now are just a general area and so if you are close please lets look at it.
San Diego, Ca
L.A, Ca
San Francisco, Ca
Sacramento, Ca
We will be holding a pool school also for the general public to sign up for as usual.
Again, I am giving this a try before I begin calling around the pool rooms in each of these areas. If you have a interest or have questions please feel free to contact me at cantrillmark@yahoo.com.
