Are Corey and Melling the 2 best at dissecting an 8 ball rack ever?

I think there could be a book made of Melling's runouts and it would be incredibly enjoyable to read.

In this ultimate pool format, with 15 second shot clocks, he finds multiple ways to accomplish breakouts and complicated shots.

Have you also watched Melling playing 8 ball too? On those English tables or yellow and reds (not sure what they call it)
I'd be lying if I said I had passed a few highlight reel moments. However, there have been several times I've seen Corey either create or develop a pattern into some otherwise nutty 'bank / carom / combo / bank' shot to make an out.

I'm no pro, but I've been around. No one other than Corey has pulled off shots that are otherwise hidden to me, until he's dropped them.

if chris only could break better than a toddler.. i watched him play in the recent big time heyball event - if it's open he runs out, even seemingly impossible layouts, but a big majority of his breaks were dry. one of my favorite players to watch.

I watched some of Melling too paying heyball, he makes it enjoyable to watch. It looks like he lost some weight, if so good for him and his health.

I mean I would say they are in the conversation, but for 8ball specifically I think its played a lot more seriously (professionally) in Europe? That alone means there are probably some unknown monsters in 8ball that people haven't heard of.

Another name that needs to be in this conversation is Darren Appleton. Monster 8ball player in his prime from what I have heard and seen. In fact, DA in all games was/still is a monster player.

Quick, everyone grab your torches... Someone dared to coin the phrase "GOAT" and it wasn't about your personal fav...!....lol

Look, if you don't consider Corey one of the most deadly on a "BARBOX". Then you need to watch more Corey BB. I didn't insinuate he was the GOAT 8b player, but....
I'd definitely give GOAT consideration to Corey on a barbox.
