Areil Caramelli Opinion Needed ???

I've hit with a Carmeli Cue, and want to get one myself. The only thing I didn't care for was they are a little too back-weighted for my liking. But it could have been the model my friend had as well. They're a very good value and he does some terrific work.

Please take a look at the link in my post a couple before this one.

I am playing with a newer plain model Carmeli that is weighted differently.
Ariel can explain better but its cored with one piece of wood all the way through.

The other ariel that I have is weighted towards the rear. My newer one is weighted very evenly.
I test hit with some others that he built just like this one and they all played the same and felt almost identical.

While its pretty simple cue design the play is from from ordinary.

Im not sure of where you are in Cali but let me know and maybe I can meet you somewhere and let you hit a few balls with mine.
Also go ahead and call Ariel and inquire about the newer design cues. Tell him like the cue "alabama" has. Thats my nickname.
Hope this helps and definitely figure out a way to try the new style. It will probably fix what your issue was with the rear weightedness.

I have a Carmeli that I bought used here on AZB. One of the best cues I've ever played with!!!! The balance is slightly forward (which I like). The only cue that felt similar to its hit was a Purple-heart nose South West cue...

I'm sure you're going to love yours :grin-square:

EVERY Carmeli cue in stock (about 24 or so) and every Carmeli cue that comes to me as a dealer is balanced between 18-1/2 and 19-1/2" from buttcap bottom with rare exception. That is part of why the cues play good.

A couple months ago someone had one for sale here, it had 4 ivory points and 4 snakewood points and some silver work. We went back and forth on me giving him my Runde and some cash. He sold it before we closed the deal, if only I offered another $100 sooner. That was my biggest regret in cue buying so far. I think he was only asking $1,900. I wish I could go back in time and get that cue.
