Arimath “Black Measel” cue ball

That’s gouging that they’re charging over $10 more for this ball than the red dot Measle ball, I’m assuming for no other reason than they are scarce.
They have made them scarce. It is an old marketing move. Ty Warner became one of the wealthiest Americans doing it with a child’s toy.

$45, Is it going go make me a better player?
My leagues play in a bowling alley which has 10 tables. You have to get there early on order to collect a rack of balls such that no ball rolls free in the rack. The cue balls are worse.

Since chipped and uneven cue balls will affect a shoot, a cue ball that reacts to my tip in the way I intend os worth a few bucks.

Don’t forget some tip tools too!

I’ve seen people who can’t play a lick come into the pool room with tackle boxes full of accessories.

Toys are fun, but when it comes to pool. I’m a minimalist.
Me too, I don't even have a break cue. One cue, extra shaft and chalk.

Extra shaft is mandatory.

I own a bunch of cues, but that’s a separate hobby.

As for pool I use a cheap case-was given to me. Probably $40. Chalk, powder, tip tapper, crying towel, 1 old piece of something to burnish my shaft on a rare occasion. I like my own towel to dry my hands with and wipe down the cue. I’m not a gadget guy. My tip tapper and powder I’ve owned over 30 years. I refill the powder when it’s empty.

Simple is best.

I think I have one JP on a shaft, maybe. Not sure. I never use them. They are somewhere in a drawer.
