We were finally able to get some footage up from the 1st leg of the Az. Desert Classic Tour. The video is available under the multimedia link on our website at www.desertclassictour.com.

The only match that was filmed was the hot seat match between Scott Frost and Mitch Ellerman. Scott played outstanding and went on to win the tournament. Be sure to catch the spectacular "point kick shot" Mitch made late in the match.

Additional footage (w/commentary) from the 2nd leg (Tucson) should be up soon. That was shot in High Def and will be much better quality. We are in the process of converting it to the proper format.

Enjoy, and we will see you all for the third stop on June 21/22, for the Az. State 14.1 Championship at Kolby's.

Thanks for the link, any time you can watch these too monsters play a match it is a pleasure. Positive rep to you.

first of all....bump!

this is a great video that people should check out.

Thank you very much for posting this. I noticed in the multimedia section that there is an 8 ball matchup listed under this one. Is that something that we can expect to see posted in the near future?

awesome point kicks by both players... :)

Yes, we are working on the 2nd stop videos now. That was the 8 balll tournament that is listed. There are actually several matches that will be posted from that tournament, including the finals between myself and Danny Smith (as well as Jimmy Mendoza vs. Mitch Ellerman, Mitch Ellerman vs. Danny Smith, all hopefully in high definition if they turn out right. There will be commentary on all of those as well.

FYI, we will more than likely be livestreaming the 2008 Az. State 14.1 Championship on June 21/22, courtesy of Azbilliards own, FAST LENNY.

Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.

That's good pool promotion, Dennis.
Thanks Roger, and to the rest of you for watching. The others should be up this week sometime. There were some good matches w/ colorful commentary recorded in Tucson. Hope you all enjoy them.

Anyone going to make it out for the 2008 Az. State 14.1 Championship on June 21/22, at Kolby's? Personally, i don't play the game, but I'm gonna fire at 'em. I have a feeling I will be bumped out of the top spot in the standings. (most likely by my partner in crime, Jimmy Mendoza) :)

Dennis

Jimmy's been playing some really strong 14.1 as of late.

I think any of the 10 minuses will do just fine as you play top notch in all the other cue sports.

Dennis,

If it were at all possible, I really would like to play your tour. Unfortunately, being a billiard instructor and cue repairman does not bring in much money, which in turn forces me to have to work most weekends and leaves almost NO time for practice. And if I were to go up against the likes of you and Jimmy, I'd need a WHOLE LOT of practice!

I hope my financial situation improves so that I can maybe jump in next year. But then, I've been hoping for that to happen every year for the past 3 or 4 years.

I understand, the billiard industry can be tough at times. With the economy as it is now, it's tough for a lot of people.

I don't think you would need much practice, I've seen you play. You could hang right there with best of 'em. If you get a chance, come by and check out some of the matches, or u can check them out live during the tourney on the internet. Maybe hop in the commentary booth and provide some valuable info for everyone?

Sending you a pm.

Take Care,
Dennis

He usuallly does. He's been playing all games well lately. I'm hoping Babe Thompson makes it too.

I just put up the finals from the 2nd tour stop. 8-ball on the 9' tables. The tour's own Dennis Orender vs. Danny Smith. Now that I have it all sorted out concerning how to get AVCHD to Flash, I'll get the remaining videos up soon.

I have the hotseat match from this event, as well as a loser's side match where yours truly becomes a double loser in a hill-hill nailbiter. LOL. I wonder why I play this game some times.

Anyway, those will be up in the next day or two.

This video (and the videos that we'll be uploading from here on out) looks better than the first one. The first one was filmed on an older camera. The new videos also have commentary.

AVCHD to Flash? I couldn't figure it out that new high definition format for the life of me. I guess that's why we have you. Thanks for putting them up on the site.
