My neighbors son sells to most of the Bars/Sports Bar, and Pool Rooms that serve alcohol in the part of the Valley.

He was over the other day and the economy came in to the discussion.

I ask how is business, he said down 12-40% depend on the operation, and mentioned the States NEW DUI LAW as a contribution factor.

He sell items like Napkins, Swizzle Sticks, Straws, and those item ever place that serves alcohol has to have, but no booze.

To be honest, if I owned a pool room I wouldn't serve alcohol.

Mully I said that when I opened my first poolroom. I struggled for four or five years before I finally went beer and wine and it saved me for 3 of 4 more years. I honestly don't think you can survive without beer and wine. If you do, you put in 80 hours a week and the landlord;the utility company and insurance get all your money. You eat macaroni and cheese.

EVERY law affects business. EVERY one. Period!

You have to keep adjusting to survive.

Never say "EVERY" imo...

Here are some laws in AZ. (taken from www.dumblaws.com)

Hunting camels is prohibited.

Any misdemeanor committed while wearing a red mask is considered a felony.

Donkeys cannot sleep in bathtubs.

When being attacked by a criminal or burglar, you may only protect yourself with the same weapon that the other person posseses.

It is unlawful to refuse a person a glass of water.

You may not have more than two dildos in a house.

Camels were raised and trained here for military use at one time.

Sorry for your friend's business, but good for the state. It's nice to see some states start to take drunk driving more seriously.

+1. Getting hit by a drunk driver is no fun. They have a tendency to just plow into you.

This law does not affect or should not affect business, my opinion is that businesses should be more responsible for keeping there patrons from driving drunk, sounds to me like a reasonable law, you get busted for driving drunk you should have to prove your not drunk before you get behind the wheel of a car for a while, to many deaths and injurys do to drunk drivers, show some concern and respect for the rest of the drivers on the road.
Not sure how this law affects your friends business?
