hi a local player in the area said there wasx a large tournament in arizona this weekend. i think he may have said it is in phoenix not totally sure. Could someone help clarify this?

Southwest One Pocket Shootout is this weekend at Kolby's in Tempe. I know the best players in the state will be there including some from out of state. :smile:

He might have been talking about the G.M.P.A. Southwest Pocket Billiard Championships at Bull Shooters Billiards, 3337 W. Peoria Ave., Phx. Nov. 4th - 7th.
23 different events. Events are only open to Amateur League Players from ACS, APA, BCAPL, UPA, VNEA, TAP, and other approved, independent leagues.
You can pick up an entry form (with full info on it) at Bull Shooters.
NO The State BCA as you call it, was a Southwest Regional BCA, I believe was the name, it was in I think September at a Indian Reservation near Scottsdale.

yes the tournament that roger long describes sounds accurate because he plays in ACS league. is there a players list or going to be brackets up anywhere?

Sorry that there won't be any brackets online for this event. As of last week there were 70 entries from out of the Phoenix Area alone per tournament director Cecil Messer. This event also features the Lucasi All American Tour Stop on Sunday. There will be a 9' event played on Gold Crowns and a 7' played of Valley's for that special event. Other events feature 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Mixed Scotch Doubles 8-Ball & Banks. You will see divisions for Men, Women and seniors played on 7' & 9' tables.
