Sadly I never bought a “cheap” Szam. I got a very good price on a collection once. When Szams were $800-$1500 I couldn’t afford one.

I do have an Ebony SW I paid $350 for plays $24 for shipping. ofc that’s the cue I’ve owned the longest and it’s a keeper.

I recently sold a couple cues for what I paid for them or a hair over, I’m not looking to make $ on cues like I did 30 years ago. I’d rather do deals and have fun!
Does such a thing as a cheap Szamboti even exist? I would love to have a Szam or a Searing or any other "big" cue but there is a limit as to what I am willing to pay for a cue. I don't collect, I use every cue I have, I would do the same with a "big" cue. I also wouldn't expect you to seriously take a beating on a cue you were selling, its your cue and deserve to get what you want for it, its up to the buyer to determine if its a good deal or not.

I didnt read half of your dribble. Pardon me for that. I didnt get what i payed for and it was the sellers fault. Simple as that. Dont you have cues to turn?
Wow! Dribble?
You didn't get what you paid for but you weren't out any cash? Typical posturing in todays world...always someone else's fault!
What I have or have not to do is really none of your business.
I'm only here to help cause you certainly need some.

I got an empty/opened USPS triangle box when I purchased a cue from eBay. The seller was Sam Engles. I got my money back, and then the cue came about 3 months later in a labeled shipping tube with a form letter from USPS that the item was mishandled. Sam had put the cue in a tube first before the triangle box with an address label on the tube. I contacted Sam and paid directly. Sometimes, things aren't what they appear. That also taught me to add labels to the item directly.

To me, buying anything off the internet from private sellers is a crapshoot. I've been shafted from Ebay sellers. Facebook sellers trying to get hundreds more than a cues actual worth and then not even wanting to absorb the paypal fee. The only protection a buyer has. As good as some of these used cues look in the pics, they are used. They have been hit. Chalked and hit. Pay 1200 or 1400 for a Tim Scruggs Sneaky? Not me. They hit the same as most sneakies. Maybe not as well as some. And is it straight? Really?prolly but maybe not. Fortunately I've only been hurt on cheaper cues. Lesson learners and I've learned them.
Never had a problem.

You do know that there are bad buyers right? Buyers that will report a box empty, or claim something is wrong and reverse the charge and not send the item back. This is the issue, that in a transaction depending upon the payment, one of the participants is at a higher percentage of being screwed than the other. So now a seller should pay the PayPal fee AND leave himself open for being stolen from? It is a very hard thing to prove in the eyes of Paypal or eBay so the claim almost always goes to the buyer.

Buy off of trusted sellers, FB, AZ, try to deal with guys that have been around. Best advice I can give.
