Check the TIMING Around 6 min, You 'll find the sayginer shot , Hoppe played it like 80 years ago!

Artistic Billiards has a long history behind it. One of the first books to describe a lot of the shots was by Fermin Cassingol from 1911. He has about 200 shots illustrated including straight rail and balkline and 112 artistic shots. Here are four of his artistic shots, including "The Jimmy" which is about 7 minutes into the Hoppe video.

The dates of May 25 to 29 will be a great moment for the club in Moselle Florange organizing the 29th World Championships Artistic Billiards. A great reward for this club became a regular in the national tournaments.

24 players will compete for the world title, 19 Asians and 5 Europeans. Alas, as in the previous edition, no American will be present so that this discipline is practiced on the new continent, particularly in Mexico who won the title in 2002 with Roberto Rojas.

Winner of the ranking FFB, the Florangeois Michael Hammen Benefiance the Wildcard UMB and his second, Jean Reverchon, of the FFB. These invitations allow both direct access to the French final table along with 6 other players including of course the defending champion, Belgian Eric Daelman.

The following 16 players will compete in qualifying, divided into 4 groups with the top two will join the 8 invited to compete in the main event in 4 other chickens before switching to direct knockout from the quarter-finals.

Among them 3 French: Kevin Tran, Parra Michel and Olivier Lacroix who have the tough task of escaping these groups, especially Lacroix inherits its pool in the German Thomas Ahrens, triple European champion in 1994, 2000 and 2003 and Turk's Serdar Gumus who won in 2007. Parra and group Tran will have a less difficult, preventing the second Turkish Haci Arap Yaman, 2008 World Champion.
