I chucked the butt size piece up and took a 30 thou. off at a vary fast lateral speed , and did get some small chipping ,

I slowed the later speed, took a smaller cut and was perfect , No chipping ,

Light 220 sanding and 2 coats of CA , pictures below .

looks good got some coming in I think it will look nice when polished out and clear coated.

Is it polyester-based? I have had some bad experience with polyester-based faults ivory take a thin slice measure it soak it in water for a couple hours take it out and measure it again see if it expands
