Update Edit 4 pm EST: Europe wins 11-2 with not really much scares. Most wins were 6-3 or better on their side, both US wins were hill-hill.

I know of one kid that should be great for the team next few years from CT that already played at World's and a younger kid from PA that should be the top US junior male player in a few years. Will see how future teams pan out.

Update Edit 12pm EST: US won a set, Manny Perez won his singles match by the score 6-5, the score match score is 9-2 Europe lead.

Manny was down 4-1 then came back to make it 5-5. The other player scratched after making a ball on the hill hill game, but Manny could not get out. His opponent got a long shot on the 6 and missed it, after a safe by each player, Manny got an open shot on the 6, then made the last 2 balls for the win.

US is still on it's last legs in the hole 9-2 going to 11.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

US is on it's last legs :( or  depending on where you are from I guess LOL

Although with the score, it's tough to even root for Europe since they have run away with the title both in Junior and adult competition. It's like cheering for Jordan to win while playing ball with a middle schooler.

9-1 in Europe's favor now, going to 11 matches.

Currently Europe is up 3-1 in a race to 6 to put them on the hill. Make that 4-1 now.

Has the USA kids EVER won? Johnnyt

No, it's a new competition though. So they still have lots of years to also not win LOL

It's over, 11-2 with all of the US wins coming with hill hill wins and most loses being 6-1, 6-2, 6-3. I would get Europe got more than double the rack wins as US.

Not very surprising for the results, the European kids beat pro players in pro events, and while April has had good finishes, that was in women's events with much weaker fields. As I have said before, the US top juniors are top US juniors, the European and Asian juniors are mid-level pros that win and cash in pro events.

Don't they have bar boxes in Europe?

Maybe we should send a couple thousand Valleys over there? Then we'd lower their skill level down to ours.

Sad.

Felt so bad for our players, every one of them was tight. Just too much pressure. Fell way behind and knew they had to play perfectly to catch up. Each added loss cranked the pressure up. Couldn't have been much fun.

Looked like the only spectators were family and friends, not much interest in an International Tournament over there?

Charlie:(

Mosconi Cup Seniors are kicking US asses now they created Junior Atlantic cup thinking they could get even. But Europe still kicking US asses. Shouldn't we stop this now? It's humiliating. And remember that's only Europe your playing not Asians.

I'm damn tired of losing.

If you are so damn tired of losing then do something about it and stop whining. Working on your fundamentals and preshooting routine would be good for starters :) Mental game should follow as the next step. And play on 9ft tables exclusively, those bar tables wont help you much on 9fters ;) Failure is just success in progress for those who really want to make it happen, you just have to work both hard and smart.

ummm, Marek, thanks. But, my comment was in regards to this thread. That is, I am tired of the US losing.

I play on 9' tables, btw.
