South Hills Golden Cue(Gold crowns mainly big pockets, and a half ass 3 Cushion table),
Steel City Billiards(Gold crowns slow felt tight pockets), and last and the best imo is Breakers (Beautiful Diamond Tables ,very nice 3 cushion table, In house bar with fairly good food as well)...
This isnt pool related ,but,Be sure to check out the MT.Washington overlook, its a awesome view of the city of Pittsburgh.........

Enjoy your stay here in the 412,maybe ill cya out one of my local Pool halls..

Thanks breezy and morgantown. Anyone else have the 411

If you want action you can always go to Steel City Billiards in Brentwood(just outside of the city) and ask for Shane. But for the best tables and conditions in Pittsburgh, you have to go to breakers. They have a heated carrom table, a Diamond barbox, about 10 Diamond tables with very new Simonis, and about 6 gold crowns. Paul Mottey is the owner and there is always action there as well. Breakers also has a bar.

south hills golden cue. best tables around if you prefer gold crowns. breakers is nice too, just parking at breakers is the worst.

I'm in the Burgh. I've got no action and not much game but, if you are here and looking for someone to shoot with, send me a PM.

I do know a couple of pretty strong players who do like a little action.

Pete

Thanks everyone who chirped in. 5 days away. Anyone else with any last minute recommends:D

I would have to recommend Steel City Billiards and Breakers. Never had a bad time to get parking for Breakers. If there is none located on the street, just park in the lot located off the alley way behind the building.

Also, Steel City Billiards and Breakers are only about 10 or 15 minute drive from one another so you can always hop back and forth if one is dead or packed with leagues.

Regardless, they are both great places and the I would like to give credit to all the local players and owners. They all treated me great with there hospitality and it was a true pleasure to meet and be around everyone.

Hey Folks,

Which pool room is located at Potomac and W. Liberty? Drove down a few years ago and played in a tournament there. Really nice room. Ran into Bushwacker there. Also played a Viking Tour event at a room in Parkway Center Mall.
