I know you are not a Bounty Hunter so let's hear the story.

He was a league operator in this area. He allegedly absconded with over $2,000 of player money along with personal items from people that trusted him. He was tracked down to GA, and will do the same thing again given the opportunity.

Abuse of this forum??????

MY opinion - - MY question, has Eydie Romano abused this forum by asking for your help by posting information and a picture of a male who supposedly is wanted for a petty theft in the Chicago area? I certainly do NOT condone theft but do NOT think that THIS forum is for that purpose. If the managers of AZ Billiards allow posts of this nature -- maybe they should rename it -- The Snitch pool forum. I suggest you ban and destroy thses posts.

This forum is used to thank and praise people who help the pool community. If someone takes advantage of the pool community---Hunt Then Down. He stole from all of us. If I knew where he was I'd tell you.

I bet you would think differently if he took money from your pocket! I bet you would feel differently if you fronted him a pool stick and you never got paid.... I bet you would feel differently if your leagues money was gone.

Yeah, this forum is not only for this purpose, it's to advise others so that they don't get taken as well, (omit yourself from that list, as you obviously condone such behavior) And when is in excess of $2,000.00 a petty crime? What's petty is your idiotic comment.

Recently there was a girl who was raped by a "pool player" He was well known and there was a post regarding it. Was that petty? I suppose that was snitching as well.. Give me a break!

Tennessee Whiteoak agrees very much with Tennesseejoe!

As far as I'm concerned, this forum is the place to exchange information of all kinds in the pool world. Where to go, where not to go, who to play, who not to play, what kind of tip should I use, what cuemaker should I trust. And on and on. This board is used to exchange information, and that is exactly what this particular post is doing. I get extrememly bored with "What is the best tip? types of posts, but for every one of me that is bored with such a post, there are many more that find it usefull, so it's serving it's purpose. When I come across such a post, I just skip over it until I find one that I find interesting. If you don't care for these "snitching" posts, skip down the list to the tip post because for every one of you that thinks that post serves no interest, there are possibly many more players that will benefit from it..........................................................especially, from what I understand, a certain number of league members.

I see nothing wrong with dealing this information to the rest of us, warnings like this might save others money and greif.

Dude, what were you thinking? Members of this forum can argue about Iraq, Bush, 911, gay tolerance teaching in school etc etc etc, but it shouldn't be used to help protect members of the pool community from having their money or cues stolen?

You ever had money or cues stolen? Ever stole a cue? If we are playing in a pool hall together, you go take a piss, and while you are gone someone I know comes and steals your cue, you come out and ask what happened to your cue, should I say "What? this is the Rack and Cue, not the snitch hall."

there were two trailer thefts...

What's the difference between someone posting that their cues were stolen in Vegas at Valley or BCA or when a big company (can't remember which Co it was, someone help me here please) had their whole trailer full of pool related products stolen from the parking lot in Vegas Riviera, and posting WHO you KNOW did the crime?

Eydie...Actually, there were two big thefts at the Riv...Jim Blaylock, from JOB Billiards in Nashville had a trailer stolen, as did Tiger Products. I agree with you, btw.

There was a girl around here- stole $20K from her bowling league- She came into work one day and told everyone that she had to keep $20K of her bowling money in her home overnite and sure hope it didnt get stolen cause she had a window that wouldnt lock. Voila! She came in the next day and told everyone it was stolen.

The cops grilled her and pretty muched proved she had been using money from the "current league" to pay off the "completed league". She had been league treasurer for many many years.

But she wouldnt cave-in and admitted nothing despite tons of pressure from eveyone who had their money stolen- it was eventually dropped.

This girl had a full time govt job her whole life with full benefits that cost 0-didnt do drugs or drink. Eventually lost her car and had to declare bankruptcy. She spent most of her money on mail order knck knacks and every cat in the neighborhood and i imagine a couple of guys fleeced her. She is working to this day though she could retire with virtually full pay- It takes all kinds i guess.

EDYIE -- where the HELL did I ever say that I condone stealing?? I've probably lost more money and have had More cues stolen than most of the people on this forum have ever owned at one time. The amount of cash stolen from me at gunpoint exceeds 50,000.00 over a period of 15 years of owning and building poolrooms. And, yes a couple thousand dollars is petty theft in my mind. PUTTING a PICTURE on a national - excuse me a WORLD forum stating he is a thief - who says he is YOU ??And then you suggest that I think a girl getting raped is OK My opinion of you since your first posts is that you are a ***** and it sure as hell has not changed. You and your husband use this forum regularly for advertisements for your own benefit - why don't you buy advertising? Chicago cheap - the worst run tournaments in the midwest. Chicagoans go to the tournaments run by Midwesi nineball tour - they are nice people and run much much better tournaments.

JMB ~ your post's are ridiculous. All of a sudden you have become an advocate for pitiful you and how much YOU have lost.  If what you have said is really true, I am sure that you would had appreciated someone letting you know where the perp was. You say you own pool halls. If this is true, is this the kind of person you would want running another league in YOUR pool hall?

I know for a fact that he has at least one stolen cue because he is playing with one of Bob's. A Bludworth sneaky pete. I am stating this for a fact. I know for a FACT that John Gatalski had control of the funds for the league at Shark City and he and the funds and he are gone. So, yeah it's pretty much a FACT that this guy has hurt a lot of people. And, your suggestion is not to do anything to warn others? Go ahead and let it continue? Are you really serious?

You can give the compliments on how my events are run to John Stich from YOUR supposed home area of Minn, who runs my events! He is one of the best tournament directors available.

As far as buying ads, I do on a regular basis on this web site and in Mike's publications. In addition, Mike Howerton does my web site. If you don't like my post's good for you. Put me on your IGNORE list and do just that. :D
