Audi lives in Modesto, Ca..After Kim and Audi sold the pool room he bought a pool cleaning service and is still doing that...I see him every so often..His good friend Mel Halfmoon comes in Diamond Billiards on Thursday nights to play the 9 ball tournament..Audi stops in to visit and get a drink at Diamond if he has a Dr. appt. or something to pass time..Doesn't play any more...

Please let Audie, although we miss him, & Kim Davenport as well, in Fresno. I knew Audie from Diamond Billiards, Classic Billiards & Rebco back in the early 80's. He shot the purest long, straight on frozen object ball cut shot I've ever seen.....4 diamonds back or 9 diamonds back facing dead on to the frozen object ball on the head rail.........son of a gun if he doesn't nail that shot effortlessly.
Anyway, I wanted to post that "The Break Room" in Fresno, CA just held a $100 open buy-in last Sunday (8/24) and it was a small field of only fourteen players so it was decided to just pay 1st & 2nd places. It was hoped some players from Merced or Bakersfield would participate but that wasn't the case.
Still not a bad way to pass the afternoon.........Gerardo won 1st & $1000 and Bobby Lee took 2nd & $400. Not that it matters to anyone but I got my ass kicked but it was nonetheless an entertaining day. I think the next time we'll try convincing Mike & Phil (co-owners) to let us run a Calcutta, especially if there's a bigger field.

I never met Audie, I heard he played real good. His brother Don Perez was my manager at Sharkys, in Collinsville Il. for 10 years.

I know he closed his room down in Visalia several years back but don't know what he did after that....
