Most of the players were glad to help out Bugs, and sign multiple balls. A few were skepticle and would only sign 1 ball. I think they might have thought I was making money on the deal, which was not the case.
Dave Matlock was great he had me get him Bugs and Freddies phone numbers to call and wish him well. Dave told me a story of when he was on the road with Bugs many years ago in LA. He was rooming with Bugs and a boxer who was friends with Bugs who faught Jake Lamotta. He couldn't remember the boxers name though. Jay Helfert thought he was his bodyguard.
Sorry about the blurry picture of Corey. The first picture I took of him signing the balls did not come out because the flash did not go off. I rushed to take a second picture, because Corey was in a hurry to get back to playing.
I mailed out the check to onepocket.org on Monday. Money was refunded to people who sent payment for Buddy Hall balls that did not pick an alternate player. Buddy left in a hurry on Friday right when I asked him to sign the balls. His wife broke her collar bone is the reason given to me.
Thanks to everyone again for helping out. I will mail out ken4fun and garyg balls tomorrow Friday. Was waiting for the checks to clear.
