Not to get off subject (pool), but I find it confusing and misleading when people use photos of pool pro's as their avatars. I honestly thought that certain people were the pro's that they depict in their avatar.

I'd hate to see someone new to the forum start quoting people that are pictured in the avatar.

I share respect for all of the pro's (most of them anyways), and honor the right of poster's to idolize someone, but I don't think that is the place to do it.

I don't think anyone believes I'm Eric Clapton, even though I use the name Slowhand. But if this were a music forum, I could see your point.

Now, forums are a place where most people can feel anonymous. Even a pro has the right to his privacy, and if he wishes to not let everyone know who he is then that's his choice. So unless they are proud of their name as a pro and go out of their way to show it, it's better to just assume that it's only a fan. ;)

Sadly Tom, we parted ways. She does live in Cali though...right off the Ventura Highway. Still easy to look at though...I'll call ya next week for a indepth report!!!

All kidding aside, I can see how it would be confusing to a newbie. It was more confusing when The Scorpion took that nickname with a picture of Johnny. Possibly a disclaimer under the picture like he eventually did would help.

Although this is not the greenman image I have a tattoo of, it's close.

The greenman is a celtic symbol found throughout Europe which symbolizes the protector of the forest as well as natures ability to regenerate(among otherthings) it's often considered a male fertility symbol.

It's unique because it's often found in archatecture of old churches and other places you wouldn't expect a pagan symbol to be found.
 
Well just incase anyone ACTUALLY thought I was the guy in the pic ... im not.

I AM NOT COREY DEUEL but I WILL NOT CHANGE MY AVATAR, unless request by him.

And to the person who started this thread - why is this not the place to pay tribute to someone you think is an awesome pool player?

I am not Milla, I look nothing like her. But I like this picture and it is my avatar for every forum I join that allows me to have one.
