average cost to ship a case?

Looks like it may be going from Missouri to Florida. ill ship it in the smallest box I can find. not real sure where to get a box big enough for a case to fit in
Use a USPS Priority triangle box. You can get them at the Post Office or from their website free of charge.
I have shipped several heavy cases for $21 with $50 insurance and tracking. Adding extra insurance costs a few bucks more. Worth it unless the buyer don't want to pay extra

I've shipped several 2x4 & 3x6 cases lately, 1x2's aren't a problem.
The problem is the size of the box, the weight has little to do with it.
The box can be empty or weigh 10-lbs, USPS Priority will cost around $35, FedEx Ground & UPS Ground $20-$25.

I rarely sell and ship cases any longer. They are big, heavy, and if they are
expensive you are talking a considerable sum to ship it by Priority/Insured Mail.
The main concern is: Package it in a very sturdy box, or even double box it.
I shipped a $450 Case a couple years ago, pretty well packaged with lots of
bubble wrap and a sturdy box. Well, the Loons at USPS must have thrown a Javelin
straight through the box, ruining the Case. My customer got all of his money back
from USPS Insurance, but it wasn't timely. Best of Luck to you. It's always a gamble.

Box size MATTERS - make a box that is just big enough for the case otherwise you will pay extra for the air around the case.

Well you can always cut and tape two of those boxes together to make one.
The cheapest way to ship is to print your label through Ebay. And you
don't have to tell the truth when it comes to the size of the box. Just make
sure you put in the right weight.:thumbup:
And a lot of times, Priority Mail is cheaper than Parcel Post.
Usually cost and extra $7 dollars when it has to go across the Mississippi River
compared to going up and down either the East coast or West coast.:angry:

Now see, Im not daring enough to try this, thats why I go oversize and use packing peanuts to protect. Im do to reorder boxes..... Might give it a go.
