Compared Hit

I have a Kikel that I love. How does the hit of
Lambros and Weston compare to Kikel?
I have been interested in Lambros for some
time.

Hey Hondo this is a loaded question but I'll give you my thoughts. I own the cues listed as well as several Oliviers and of all the Lambros is hands down my favorite. The Kikel is next followed by the rest. My Lambros has the new improved joint so I cannot tell you about his others, it is extremely consistent no matter how hard I hit a shot. It is a solid positive feel and the balance for me is unsurpassed. I play with Moori slow tips so it does feel somewhat soft upon contact but I am going to try a medium moori on one of the shafts soon, just to see if it is much different. My Kikel is extremely close to the Lambros but somehow the Lambros has become my favorite. My Skip Weston is also a great feeling cue but the balance point is different and seems not as evenly distributed weightwise, but still a solid playing cue. I have purchased all my cues with play in mind as opposed to looks. But the Skip is some serious eye candy!!!

Thanks, Dan. A pretty good answer. You're right;it was a bit of a loaded
question. I was curious as to how you would answer. Thanks again.

In My Bag

Right now, it't the PFD John Davis Conversion and by Ebony and Cocobolo PFD break cue. Predator shafts on each, Moori M on the player, Sumo on the breaker. Also a $19.99 E-bay jump cue that works just fine.

Statistics For Survey

Have just updated ALL posts, and adjusted the statistics on page 6 as well.

Predator is winning in the cue department (7.88%), with Schon 2nd (6.67%) and Jacoby 3rd (4.24%), total cues= 165

With shafts, most people keep their original shaft (73.41%), with Predator 314 (13.29%) and Z-2 (6.36%) 2nd and 3rd respectively, total shafts= 173

Tip preference is 1st Moori (36.17%), 2nd Triangle (18.44%) and 3rd Talisman (14.89%), total tips= 141

Thanks for all the imput, will keep thread running as long as people want to submit their cue info.

I'm using

My league/tournament case includes a 6 point prototype present day Palmer with mop inlays 19oz. Limsaver has been added to protect the toes. Original style 314 Predator shaft with Morri S tip. My break cue is a Dymondwood from Topper with I believe a elkmaster hard tip.
My Bar cue is a 4 point Hoppe/Titlist style unmarked prototype from present day Palmer. I use the original shaft which has been retappered and taken down a bit. The weight bolt is removed giving more forward balance. It weighs in at 16.8oz. I like a light cue for barbox.

Playing cue: Jacoby J-2 just switched to a Tiger shaft with sniper tip

Break cue: Cheap later day Palmer sneaky, original stiff shaft and hard tip.

In the closet, seldom played with these days: Original Palmer model M, both original shafts, original tips. It hits like playing with a piece of pipe, very hard.
