Geez.... I was in 1st place for all of 30 seconds. Of course, I was the first to vote too!

Good luck everyone, there are some AMAZING cases in this thread. We are all going to get mugged! :yikes::shocked::shocked2:

r,

Greg

Hi,

Every case here is a winner!

I voted for Ken's Norsemans Cometh because I love his individual style and art of case making.

Jamie is the man becaue he is creating buzz in our industry by doing his diligent work.

Thank you Jamie,

Rick g

all awesome cases !!

As beautiful as all of these cases are, there's something that keeps drawing my eyes back to Antfarm's Clover Patch King Case. Got to go with that one !!

Ditto...Hands down my favorite too!!!

The fully tooled Melton was my next choice, but ALL THE ENTRIES are spectacular examples of what's available in the custom case market...

Thanks guys!!!!! You have no idea how happy I am with the case, win or not.

I will admit, there are some amazing cases here and I was even tempted to vote for some like the zinzola case and Mr. Eastwood's creations. Top notch work all around. To be honest, I'd be happy with any case on here!

R,

Greg

All of these cases are outstanding. But I chose the Black Death case because it was so unique and far outside of the norm. I think I saw the Norseman case at the ICCS show and it was very impressive also. I think the race for 1st place would be much closer had only one of those two cases been put on the ballot. I think those two split the vote for those who prefer things really outside the norm.

JB - I am the only one to vote for your wife's design so far. I love that case. Can you make it in a 1x2?

All great cases, all winners. Too hard to choose just one, but if I had to, I pick a Phil Eastwood.

Hey o!

:-) Looks like it. Tough competition this year.

I voted for Birk's Hippo Whitten because it's my personal style. Don't tell my wife I didn't vote for her design.

Actually she has some stuff coming up that rocks. Bruce's JB is indicative of what she has coming down the pipe.

I am pretty sure we can make a 1x2 Mason style. I will try one first and see how it comes out.

I think there are some very beautiful cases in this poll.
I voted for ''tinh 339'' Justis case.

I feel like there are far too many swirly flower-tooled cases in existence, so I couldn't make myself vote for a basic design element that has been part of thousands of cases.

I voted for the unique, inspiring, and extremely creative Knight of Spheres.

I voted for the unique, inspiring, and extremely creative Knight of Spheres.

The only thing that keeps me away from Phil's work for cue case of the year is practicality. I see them as more leather sculpture that hold cues rather than being true cases meant to be used daily.

At 9lbs for a 1x2 it reminds me of the famous McDermott cue that has a 10lb double ax blade on one end.

From a purely creative standpoint, out of the box, out of this world, bar-raising, paradigm shifting work. For me personally Phil's work opens a door that I look forward to going through. I think that he has shown that it's ok to go WAY outside the normal case shapes and I look forward to some interesting stuff.

I don't know if my favorite at the moment is Knight of the Spheres or Artis Mortis (I think that's the name) I keep going back to them and marveling at what must be going on in Phil's head as he creates these wonder works.

John,

I wish you were at my home and had the opportunity to hold the two Eastwood Studios cases I currently own, the Knight of the Spheres and the Norseman Cometh. Your positive opinion would only be enhanced in person, in hand.

I own between 400 and 500 cases (need to get more for my cues!), and as you know, I have a good sampling of everyone`s cases. I hold these two cases in extraordinarily high esteem, the very highest, and when I have taken them to the pool room I get a following that looks like I am at a kid`s soccer league game and I am the ball, the way everyone wants a good look at them.

The cases are simply stunning, no other word for it. At the ICCS last October, not a person that saw the Norseman Cometh will ever forget it.

The comparison to a 20 pound/80 inch cue is just not accurate. Both of my cases are easily carried, and the outright joy of carrying them makes the load lighter. To give you a comparison, the Knight of the Spheres is lighter than the High Country case, and almost 6 inches longer. At 7 pounds or under, it is not light, but certainly not "over the top". And the interiors are great.

Too bad the picture of this Knight case in this voting thread is of the REAR of the case, the only one in 19 cases shown for voting. Only showing the chain maille and zero tooling doesn`t quite line up with the others in the "Exhibit photos". The chain maille is certainly high on the cool factor, but not the best part of the case, with the amazing tooling. (Not Jamie`s issue, this was the only full view of the case!).

I appreciate your very positive comments about the Eastwood cases and just wanted to add a bit more perspective.

Thanks.

Will Prout
