AZb sleuths old butterfly help!

That no matters what it is, is one beautiful cue! Your going to need the help of the AZ crew on this one I have my ideas but I want to see what others say!

Nice cue

Looking at Brunswick's 1908 catalog, it looks a bit like an old Brunswick 34 but with a wedge at the bottom. Which means it may not be a Brunswick at all.
The Blue Book of cues also shows some similar butterfly cues with wedges at the bottom made by Rieper MFG of New York. The ones pictured had engraved butts/handles, though.
Either way- nice find!

at $10 each,
i think i'll go ahead and order a dozen of the 36's
