is my post about getting the room getting passed over?? $30 pp isnt that much, and thats with only 45ppl

Joey,
I'd be perfectly willing to pay 30-50 bucks for it even in the location described (assuming I could find it, lol). Timberly said a 1/2 mile facetiously I assume. It probably is a good 2-300 yards away, but seems a lot further. I think it will virtually never get used, but it would be nice to have it available. It's not a factor for me because I don't drink, but I assume some people wouldn't use it because it would be anywhere near a bar.
At any rate, I think Timberly is right nowhere near 45 people would be willing to spring for it. Right now it is 5 in the poll, I'd make it 6 if I changed my vote. That would be over 200 bucks each. :D

Yes, anyone NOT going... that means all you folks that are registered members here need to send me beer money! I've seen Satman put 'em away.... this is a costly group when it comes to drinking! :p

Can I get in this round? :D

I will come up with name tags or something to show we are with AZB.. Any suggestions people? CCB has a pin, how about us?

The CCB pins were fairly cheap to get done, but it does take time. You wouldn't be able to do them for this year, however, it is a good idea for next year.

As for the poll, I vote for the daily meet and great. In the past, I have found it very difficult to find the time for anything. There is just too much going in, with the pro events, and tracking down and watching friends in the amateur events.
Unfortunately, I have never used to much time playing.

Frankly, because of all of the match schedules, I have found it difficult to meet with some friends, at specific times. My wife and I tend to keep our schedule very flexible, depending on what matches are being played.

Rich, Do you have any idea who did the pins and what the cost was for further reference. If you could email me that info, I would appreciate it. windycityopen@aol.com

Thanks so much!

It's Sun evening & I'm about to take off to go to a superbowl party, as most of you are. It's a BIG deal this yr in PA.

Per the PM's, posts, & emails... the majority of those that spoke up want to do the meet & greet. I would love to have the room but not for the cost & location.

I will be starting a new thread with a new poll about the meet & greets. :p

Eydie,

I messed around on CafePress for about 20 minutes and came up with this:

http://www.cafepress.com/billiardsstuff

That's really rough and wouldn't have names on it - although the design could incorporate a space for a name & a sharpie would do it. The base price on those is $1.25 - I don't know if this is something people would spring for or what. I also don't know how Mike would feel about it.

Any comments?

WOW J, you really rock. What a sweetie to take the time to do this, you are the greatest.

Let me talk it over with Mike and see what he has to say. I will be in touch. BTW, J, can you send me a PM on how to directly get in touch with you please.

Thanks so much again~

Hugs,

Eydie

No problem - I just wish I had more tools to play with here at work. At home I've got all kinds of graphics tools, but here at work...well, that was done with clipart from the internet manipulated with PowerPoint and Windows Imaging. How sad is that? :D

I PM'd you...

PS - Barbara - "yes...no, no, no, no, no, no, Yes....no, no, no, no, no, no, Yes...no, no, Yes...no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no ...............YYYYEEEEESSSS!!! no, no, no, no, no, no........."

Ok kids, here's the scoop. For the room and two pool tables for Thur, Fri, & Sat the cost is going to be somewhere between $1300 to $1400. .......

I thought why not have a DAILY meet & greet at the same time everyday? Say somewhere between 2 & 5pm???

I'm going to leave this decision up to you guys. If you want the room and don't mind the price, we'll do it. If you like the daily meet & greet, we can do that. Or, you guys are more than welcome to present other ideas.

Here's your chance to speak up.... let's hear what your thoughts are.

(special thanks to Eydie for making the calls today. You're the BEST.) ;)
I'll chip in if that is the vote, but DAG! are you cutting into my cue consumption budget!

My vote is the daily meet-n-greet.

p.s. THANKS, Eydie!!

I dont think its that much, theres a bar within walking distance . I was there last year on Sunday for a few hours, if I had a table to play on I would have been there all day, it is more fun than watching. Add up 3 or 4 trips to a pool room ,add a few drinks and some gas money, and for some of us a few bad rolls and it might work out to be the same. Does anyone agree?
Sorry, no, I disagree.
