AzBillards BCA Nationals 10-Ball Tournament

Well, if you rescheduled the tournament to start that Monday... I'd be one extra player. Didn't Jimmy M say he was coming in on Monday to? That would be TWO extra players:D .

I had to pick a date and go with it... I wish I could have accomodated all schedules... I just thought for a double elim. event it would be best to do it as the singles slow down and "before" the team events kick in and abolutley no tables are available....based on the late hours and time I was not sure we could get it done in just two nights.....To me...2am is 2am...For some East coasters...2:00am is actually 5:00am...

FYI - I am going to KINKOS today to get a bracket sheet printed up to post in the AZBilliards room.

I am also going to get a 64 player single elim. sheet printed in case there is interest in a single elim "second chance" event that would be strictly a Tuesday night thing.... (starting at 8pm - completion)..... Probably race to 6.....9-ball....$20 entry.....I was going to talk to Mike about this......probably open this to any active poster...(or anyone that creates a new account while in the AZBilliards room)

But I am not sure I am going to have the energy to run an additional event at that point......So there is no "guarantee" that its going to happen........(I ain't no Jay Helfert or BULL.....and I sure ain't getting $2500 for this......JK....;) :)

I won't arrive until Monday or I would play. If it changes and people arriving monday can play then I am in.

Stuckart posted the map, but to help clarify where SkyBox 206 is.....

Skybox 206 is actually upstairs above the "second" main room.

If you look for the "Pro Ticket Office" on the map (between the first and second main rooms)...Just past that is a stairway leading upstairs to the Sky Boxes.... If 206 is the same room as last year it will be pretty much in the corner of the room right above the lower entrance doors leading to the second main room.

Thanks to both of you.

Picture of the second game room from the AZBilliards Room balcony. Getting close...can you feel it? :D :D :D

I'm in the same boat, but I figured it out. It's a conspiracy to keep us out of the tournament, Frank. You gotta keep an eye on the goose. He's a sneaky one.

Ken - Our plan to keep Jimmy out of the tourney is working.

The picture really got me the itch to get out of work now and get to Vegas. Leaving in 21 hours.

Dang, another reason for me to be bummed not to be going this year. :( Sounds like fun. Time for me to find a team for next year. :D

Sign me up. Sounds like a good time to me. I'll be there Friday. I assume we will pay at the AZ room before Sunday. Satman is aka SAM

Here is a map of the Riviera. Sky Box stairs are located on the left just before you enter the back tournament area (Royale Pavillion). (right before section 3 and by kitchen area). See upstairs map

Are we in 206? I thought we were in 204. But I could be wrong.

Will arrive in Sin City around 6pm on Friday and will sort everything out.

Mike

Are we going to see a giant AZBilliards Semi on the highway on the way up?

And are you going to need some help with setup? Cause I know some people. I could also send over all the people I knock out of the scotch doubles tourney that day.

Anything to help!

Hey we only have 24 people for this tourney so far, what the hell?

Money needs to be paid before 11pm Sunday.

You can pay when you show up Sunday evening at 11pm...If you find you are going to be in a match during the start of the 10-Ball event...you need to stop by the room and pay in advance sometime Saturday or Sunday during the day.

(I will work out the details of "advanced" money collection with Mike when I get there Friday night)....I plan on checking in my room and then going over to the venue....I will be making a sign up sheet that has pre-signed names on it and a spot to notate "paid" players and side pots and "main event" status.

I would prefer that people pay when they show up to play on Sunday evening......I won't be living the AZBilliards room since I plan on winning a few matches in the Open Singles event...;)

I expect some will be waiting to sign up until Sunday to see what thier schedule is.....I know pool players typically wait untill the last second...and in Jimmy's case even longer...;)

But if you find your going to be in a match and need to pre-pay...we will work something out.

LOL...Actually...based on some "other" threads... I feel like as soon as the $1600 in entrys is paid I should go (with player witness escort) to the casino cage and deposit the money for safe keeping...

I am starting to think that some players keep "ropes" in thier case......;) ;) :) (JK)

I have been asked why the 50 post rule....(mostly by people that have less than 50 posts)

My intention of the 50 post rule was to keep someone from calling thier world beater friend that has "no" association with the board and or no "active" interest in the board an opportunity to sneak in and grab some quick money....(Not that they actually would since there are already some strong players signed up)...

However...It has been pointed out to me that there are people that do have accounts and are active within the PM community but "rarely" post to threads...These are people that do also read the therads on a regular basis...(how else would they know)

Since everyone knows that I openly admit and change my stance on something if I am wrong:rolleyes:  ...I decided to change my stance on this..

The 50 post count rule is thrown out....However...The new rule is that your "account" must have been started before May 1, 2008.

(So don't call your world beater friends and tell them to make an account)

I still want to keep this for forum members and even though I origonally thought that it should be for people that contribute "posts"...I believe that there are enough "casual" posters that read the board frequently to warrent the change in decision.

Hopefully everyone agrees with this decision...If not..."flame away"...;)

PS - You "casual" posters should give up your life and start posting more:)
