Ryan I would so love to play. I just have not been a gambler in about 9 years! Long time! LOL!

I won't duck you at all, but as of now, I don't have Derby plans.

As you have been nothing but a gentleman in my experience, if I do go, we may be able to make a game.

Classic Evan in my opinion

I have collected over 30k in committed money, from very reliable people, to stake me + about 10k of my own if this game went off.

Evan knows very little, and proves it everytime he opens his mouth.

I used to like the guy and that may not change, I am not sure yet, but he picked the wrong battle this time.

Ok, so have him post up NOW for 2010. Free money is free money. Or to heck with the DCC, just go to Long Island and play him some.

BTW, on the broadcast he also made comments about the play of SVB in the Mosconi Cup. I guess after he beats Corey H. he is gonna take on SVB next.

I will go to New York to play this game. Masters in Queen's. I will call Ginky & Francisco to reserve a table for us.

Sadly, I am not long enough in the pocket to have 10k outta play for 13 months. There is no way in hell he's gonna post up even if we were gonna play tomorrow! :rotflmao1:

He made a lot of comments about a lot of people on the broadcast. I don't know the guy from Adam, but when I told him the Ernesto-Stan Tourangeau match wasn't for the hot seat he called me retarded three or four times, until Mike H. told him he was wrong. I found him incredibly obnoxious.

I am pretty sure that with 13 mos to go 'til Derby 2010, that if I got organized, I could get every known poolplayer (top ones and unknowns alike), backer, and industry businesses to post up moderate to high six figure action on my end for a Harper vs. Broxmeyer match-up.

With that said, I am gonna end my time with this one unless some sort of reality move gets made on his end. Thanks to everyone for their kind words, offerings, and support.

It was fun and got my blood pumping

Since your blood is pumping, jump on that bike and go ride a 60 miler!!!

This kind action is good for pool. If it happens. People such as myself would pay to watch it on live stream.

Brox has essentially wussed-out.

The window is still open (will always be) for him; however he must post $$$ to be taken seriously.

He definitely said a lot of things in the chat. I think it boils down to two things. A) Evan has always thought of himself as a considerably much better player than he actually is and B) I think he had a case of internet muscles on top of his already inflated ego.

If I remember correctly, he said something to you, Watchez about you playing against someone or having no heart. I don't recall exactly what he said but I do recall your response was perfect. It was something to the effect of "one of the big differences between you & myself is that I know my limitations, you don't". That's not verbatim but it's basically what you said and it was right on the mark.

I had often wondered how on earth he ever had a sponsor (he couldn't rank in the top 32 if he went to every event). I was told (strictly hearsay) that he's a "trust fund baby" and that his father paid the company to "sponsor" him. True or not, it made a lot more sense than trying to believe that a company would sponsor him over anyone else.

Had he decided to back up his mouth and play against Corey, I think that would've been 100% entertainment. When SVB & Alex play, you're getting pure championship pool regardless of who is at the table. With this match up, you'd get 50% good pool, and the other 50% would be the entertainment of watching the hot air deflate from Evan's head every time he missed & Corey racked up another win. C'mon Evan, play some! Cash the check your mouth wrote.

The worst part is that I was winning using a Fury Jump Break with a phenolic tip. Granted, we weren't playing for anything but I ran out enough that he quit about 45 minutes later in disbelief that someone could play with a jump/break cue.

As I read this stuff, I have to admit that I'm somewhat happy that I hardly play anymore. I remember when it used to sting my ego when someone said they could beat me and I felt like they were wrong (and, naturally, felt a moral obligation to offer to play). Now they say they can beat me and I agree! It's amazing how much less stress I have over this silly game! :)

Oh well, Corey. You almost had action for a second there. LOL! The story of every pool player's life. ;)

Fairfield Properties on Long Island is owned by his Dad. They own numerous
apartment buildings to the sum of 5,000 apartment units on Long Island alone. Evan works at the main office about 10 hours a week. His family is one of the wealthiest on Long Island. That being said I don't think he's very good. Maybe a high B player. Anyone that gives themselves the nickname "The Running Man" then break and run 5 times total at the Million Dollar Shootout should change their nickname the "The Racking Man"
I've never seen Corey play but I like him in this matchup just becasue I've seen "The Racking Man" play.
