I saw this other thread on the main forum and find it interesting that the person in this other thread is the same person I had to deal with........... I guess be careful with this person..........

Dont be spiteful...you emerged unscathed!

There is nothing to see there, other than the seller freak out about paypal's nooks and crannies.

The seller was paid, did not ship an item and refunded the $, rather than face any risk. Funny thing is, the only one with any risk in that transaction was the buyer.

Paypal is not going to reverse payment sent as a 'gift'. As I recall, when you send $ that way, the system informs you that the transaction, once submitted, cannot be reversed.

I am not..... I'm just trying to let other AZ-ers know to be careful. It's just too familiar and brings a bit of concern to mind that I think we all should be aware of - that's all. We all want smooth transactions and I just want others to take note (share info) so to minimize any problems.
It's not spiteful......... Just trying to look out for other AZ-ers in a good way.

In Re: to PayPal Gift Trans

As you see the seller asked to paid as a gift (this was not by my request) and as soon as he questioned his actions he refunded the transaction and I paid him an additional amount to cover the transaction fees. I also offered to cover shipping because i get a large volume discount, he choose to ship USPS instead, which is fine by me, it saved me the cost of shipping. In addition I purchased another cue yesterday, a Nova, without incident via PayPal with another AZ'er who was very pleasant to work with. The transaction took a whole 5-7 minutes from negotiations to him receiving payment. The whole process with the seller with the Peppers cue made me uncomfortable and I was trying to protect both of us by paying COD with certified funds which even JB said is the ideal way to do business and least risky for both parties. I will not be addressing this again. Hopefully the Lee Peppers cue, which i do admire, finds its way into somebodies hands that will appreciate it.

Well Stated & Finished!

OverCutAnything stated it succinctly and the issue otherwise seems dead.
He handled it the right way and by the way, his policy makes sense.

There's lots of problem opportunities selling the cue COD.....not saying it would have happened but the risk is nonetheless there. And what seller wants to take needless risks selling their cue? Why do that when OverCutAnything was being completely reasonable about how to pay for the cue.

This other guy could have bought the cue if he really wanted by sending money as the seller specified. Instead, he starts this bullshit thread, and in the wrong section, which he should be embarrassed about even writing.......what a juvenile and inappropriate thing to do........Timeout for Shooter08.........go sit in the corner, ponder your bad behavior and hopefully learn from it.

DId you read the whole thread? Given the OP's most recent post, I think you did not.
