I personally prefer the Jay Flowers style, but also do custom carving and plain sleek cases! I'll attach some pics as well.
My interiors are tubes lined with a heavy upholstery grade velvet. When I first started I was using a crushed velvet, and while its holding up ok I feel I have found a much better fabric.
