I did a tour of an submarine that had backgammon tables.

Backgammon is a global tabletop game. As a math focused person I am proposing numbering different sections of backgammon.

The main purpose would be to demo a promotional campaign in a shared gaming interest community and gather initial analytics.

Backgammon might be easier to play at pool tournaments to pass the time. It was a popular game at Steinway.

Backgammon billiards,

I gave up on making a new billiard game. To attract a new audience I plan to reformat an existing game and mix in billiards culture.

Backgammon billiards the game of crazy betting. With pool players knowing their speed or ability kills the gamble. I plan to set up a demo later after this initial reception.

With backgammon billiards the risk or uncertainty factor is added into the billiard skill challenge.

Paul Magriel says that "Backgammon is emphatically not a game of mathematical calculations; it is primarily a game of position and strategy—a game of recognizing and anticipating visual patterns". (curiously that could be said of cue sports as well) However the relative position is important. But counting pips is simple arithmetic, nothing past early grade school stuff. Not sure you can add anything of value to backgammon.

Using a double cube to pick the shot to shoot for gambling could be fun.

Gamble before the toss and after the toss.
 
Justnum, can you make a game where the winner is the first to prove that an odd perfect number exists?

I have found one and tried to paste it here, but the system keeps rejecting the post as being too large. I'll just say it ends in ...38547592001. Prove me wrong.
 
So I’m reading “Running the Table “ just put it down after they were talking about Hi -pocket billiards in White Plains NY and how it had backgammon tables and this is the first post I see on here before going to bed.
 
I played at a room in Toronto that had a lot of backgammon action….had a couple world champions play there.
So, in Detroit I offered some nine ball action with the cube. ……scared them to death, nobody would play.

Agreed. Playing 9ball for $100 a rack, if I've got good shape on the five-ball, I'll throw the cube and opponent would have the choice to concede the rack or play it out for $200. That sounds like fun.
