Bad Blood. SVB and Dennis

I'm not sure of other "bad blood" that might have went down between these guys but I was witness to one incident. Last year at the Derby these two were playing a close match if i remember... I was sitting 5 feet from them... Toward the end of the match Dennis was at the table and had a pretty tight shot. He picked a previouly pocketed ball out of a pocket and put it on the table to help him aim his shot. Shane thought it was a foul. He got the tournament director involved and he too thought it was a foul. Dennis was pissed and scattered the balls and walked away.. Forfeiting the game. Later I watched Shane approach Dennis and it seemed to me that Dennis was berating Shane. Shane walked away shaking his head...

Eye witness....

Ps.. That's was a foul!

I can't recall the exact match, but I believe Dennis quit before the match was over because Shane was torching him. (Shane's break was working and Dennis's wasn't). I think the score was like 9-1 or something lopsided like that and this was a fairly recent match.

I think that any bad blood is more than likely all coming from Dennis's bad attitude, but if we are missing anything that Shane did to him, it would be interesting to know.

and don't forget this years world championship, where magic rack incident happened. Shane requested the magic rack be removed, but it can't without lifting up a ball inside the rack, Dennis was telling the referee not to do it... I think Shane proceeded to play a safe with the help of the magic rack...then beating Dennis for the match pretty badly.

How does a guy who joined in July 2013 have only 1 post?

If you search members, you will find a lot that have joined but never posted.
....and there are lots of readers that have never joined.
....but they all enrich AZ as far as I'm concerned....
...often the viewers out-number members 2 or3 to one.

I personally know a few that joined but have not posted...they're shy.

That was such a shit show that could have been corrected with a simple pair of scissors.

That's the first I heard of Dennis doing something like that. I'm talking about being
disrespectful toward another player.
It's too bad Dennis acting like that toward any other professional player.

If this berating incident is true, I have lost a little bit of respect for Dennis.

Dennis used to beat Shane most of the time in the Philippines, according to Shane.
Then, Shane improved and started to beat Dennis. Prob has something to do with this.
Plus, Dennis has become a cry-baby, like a lot of other :pros".
I see Shane called out Dennis for 100k on a 5x10. Dennis said no.
Now the match seems to be on a 9ft for 50k. No details on what game, or games to
be played, or the length of matches.
Should be fun to watch.

:happydance: :happydance: :happydance:WELCOME TO AZB!! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

What about the CSI invitational round robin event where Dennis was accused of dumping to Ralf because supposedly he knew that he was already out of contention and if he lost Ralf advances but if he won Shane would have advanced? Dennis lost and then... I dont know.:)

Dennis calls foul on himself

I was at the DCC a couple of years ago, watching Dennis playing someone, I don't remember who. Dennis was at the table and the other player was not even watching. Dennis made a foul and called it on himself, knowing the other player was not paying attention. That was a class act by Dennis.

If SVB had the same character, he would have just told Dennis what he did was not allowed, and it would be a foul if he did it again.

Actualy Shane said he would not play he would just keep thumping Dennis in tournaments , his backer got word and called Dennise's backer and made the match , them Shane went on FB and said he barked back , it all unfolded right here we saw that was not true ,,

I think all the bad blood can be traced back to 1 year ago when Dennis and Shane surprisingly buddied up to play Manny Pacquiaos MP Cup doubles. But sadly they both went down in flames losing to a pair of 15 or 16 year olds (1 girl+1 boy )
Sure it was just 1 match and even the top pros can lose to kids .
There must have been lots of blame laying and since then it has never been the same.

Maybe he is relative of Charlie Munger. And pool economy and just lost a potential mega sponsor:grin-square:

Wow you have good memory. If I recall, Ralf then said he had flight to catch

Any link to said foul of Dennis using object ball as an aid to aim? Interested to see this.

This was at Derby & don't think it was streamed. It's so unthinkable to pick up a ball to check to see if a ball passes through a gap & believe it's not going to be a problem. I've never heard of a rule for this but that's probably because nobody would ever consider doing something like that.

If it was cue ball in hand and you did that with the cue ball, that would be okay, right?

Im pretty sure if you use a chalk, cue ball, anything to measure in such a manner it is a foul. I had one called on me for using my cue to measure a bank, I let my hand off the cue and it became a foul.
