Ok I have an old unknown cue that belonged to my grandfather. It had been in the rack downstairs for a few years until I decided to get it out and take a look awhile back. The cue had one of those crappy slip over tips on it but actually played very well. Anyway after playing I noticed a noise in the hit and discovered that the slip on tip had come loose.
Upon closer inspection I found that the furrell had also come loose and decided to have it repaired.
After a couple of weeks of looking I decided to just take it to Big Dog Billiards. I had always had good luck there and they have done all my work for about the last 2 years along with the stuff I was taking for my friends.
When I left it there I was told it would be done that afternoon and went ahead and paid for the work. A total sum of 50 dollars. I went about my erands for the day and when I returned the shaft was not done. The man told me he could have it done the following day so I went home. Now Des Moines is about an hour drive for me to begin with.
When I came back Sunday afternoon the man who does repair work and supposedly is the manager was sitting at the bar drinking and watching the football game. He told me he would do the work monday morning and send it to me via UPS the same day.
I had not heard anything as of this evening so I called to get the tracking # and make sure it had been sent. The person I spoke with told me that the shaft had not been done yet.
Now for the million dollar ?. Do I have a reason to be upset?
