Bag Pipes?

I love bagpipes, so I am not complaining. Also, I got to experience that beautiful sound in person when attending past events, and it is something to hear in person...believe me.

The bagpipes were horribly painful, gave me a headache, and the players were chomping at the bit. At the end of his "I'd like to thank..."s Ronnie clapped when he said he was done... so did the entire attendance of the house, for a very very good reason.

i sat about 5 feet from the bag pipe people and i thought it was the worst thing i have ever heard. It was extremely loud and It gave me a headache and wanted to stand up and walk right out. BB stood there and smiled the whole time and I could not understand why he would do something like that.

Holy balls, it sounds like a procession for an Irish mobster's funeral. If they do this shit every year then I can see why a lot of big names don't show up. Does Barry actually think anyone gives a rat's ass about bagpipes:confused:

We will have a solo Scottish Highland Bagpipe player in full traditional Scottish dress piping us into and out of our church wedding in Abu Dhabi, UAE in two weeks time on 8 November.

Hell.... even the arabs love the pipes!.......check out The Dubai Police band on www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_t8Z-Crv1o

There were few more stirring, emotional and inspirational sounds for the allied troops in The Second World War than the sound of the bagpipes.....that's good enough for me.......respect:)

..... It is the SHERIFFS Bagpipe Band that Barry PAYS (hint hint) to perform.

I get it...but couldn't he pay them to tone it down and shorten it up a lot? Johnnyt

It sounded like a funeral dirge to me, not a prelude to a great match. And yes, the players can get cold sitting on their butts that long. I love Barry but he can be a little over the top sometimes. We have to talk :)

You all make good points.
