I don't have any data points, but can suggest an easy test to see if the difference causes problems :
Lay a pencil under the curve of an object ball (I originally heard cigarette, but switched to pencils when I quit smoking :thumbup: ). Then shoot the cueball straight-bottom into the OB right above the pencil. The pencil should fit under the two balls and ideally not be touched by either ball. If your cue ball is too heavy it will go forward before the backspin takes affect and hit the pencil.

I just weighed my CB & found it to be 6oz while the accompanying balls in the set are 5.75 oz.
I weighed a "measle ball" & found that it too is 6oz.

According to WPA/BCA equipment specifications, the weight may be from 5.5 to 6 oz. (156 to 170 g) with a diameter of 2.25 in. (5.715 cm), plus or minus 0.005 in. (0.127 mm).
