Ballstar Optima Replacement Pads

I've just purchased a BallStar Optima BCM201A ball cleaning machine. When I bought replacement pads for it they arrived substantially larger than the ones that came with the machine. The original ones are about 7.5 inches and the replacements are about 9 inches. They fit in the machine, but they extend under the rubber retainer unlike the originals. I'm concerned about them damaging the retainer when run. However, the packaging they came in has exactly the same chinese numbering and symbols as the originals, too the character. Has anyone else run into this? Did I get the wrong pads or did they increase the size for the replacements?

I have a BallStar Optima BCM201M, it takes the 9" pad and it does not extend under the retainer. I have never seen a 7.5 inch pad. What is the outside diameter of your machine? ( mine is 12.25 inches)

Just got an email from the vender I bought this from. He says the BCM201A I have is the new one and the BCM201M is the old one. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I have never seen your model before but If I had to guess it looks like a newer one. The inside doesn't seem to be as well made as the kind I had. (the other kind). If you don't mind, how much was your model?

89billiardz.com sells your style Ballstar, they should have the correct pads.

Can you trim them down?

Thanks for the URL. I checked them out but their site has no info on the pad size. I sent them an any, awaiting a response. Thanks again.

Can't trim because of how they're stitched together. I suppose I could sent them out. Hope it doesn't come to that.
