Has anyone seen or heard of the movie Baltimore Bullet? I have never seen it, but I remember hearing about it many years ago. I heard that it was a good movie, just wondering what happened to it?

Also had "Machine Gun" Lou Butera, Richie Florence, Alan Hopkins, Pete Margo, and Jim Mataya.
Byrne writes about it at the end of his Advanced Technique in Pool and Billiards book.

Who knows, maybe BcN will run it on TV, along with the Hustler and Color of Money. this Friday they are starting their weekly pool series showing the US Open.

Gremlin would have you believe Baltimore Bullet and The Color of Money "BOTH" came out in 1986 LOL. One of them did. Guess which one? You've known me for a long time Bob. I kid you not, the flick is 3rd best pool flick ever. But it is a pool flick. And, it came out on video in 1986.

I saw it once a long time ago and wanted to rent it so I could see it again a little while back. I had a heck of a time trying to find it and, subsequently, never did rent it. I finally found it on ebay and bought it. It's not a bad movie and it does have some slick shots in it. The procuction was probably at TV level for that time. In other words, they didn't put a lot of money into the production. They depicted the hustlers' tournament they used to have at Red's. It's definitely worth a look but you'll probably have a hard time finding it to rent. I think I paid $19 for it on ebay.

Jim Rempe was in the movie also. There are a ton of those old pros that were around back then in this movie. It is not a bad movie at all. It is kind of corny at times but if you ignore the dumb plotlines the pool scenes are awesome.

I am always surprised when I hear anyone, less lone, pool players that say that The Baltimore Bullet is a good pool movie. I didn't like this movie when I saw it over 20 years ago when I was starving to see anything about pool.

I have a copy of it...and found it at a Goodwill about one month ago!!!
My copy that I had for many years was loaned out and I was lucky to get a new one.
Good Movie...lots of fun...

PS...happy to share a copy...

I thought Baltimore Bullet was ok. It certainly wasn't Oscar material by any stretch, but it did have a few good laughs in it. Plus a lot of the pros, Sigel, Rempe, and many others too numerous to mention did get screen exposure.
