I've never seen any books, DVD's, or online drills just for the BB player. Has anyone seen any? With the amount of BB tables around and all the leagues that play on them you would think someone would have published something by now. Johnnyt

i dont see why when your playing pool regardless. just have to make up for the cue balls magnet/size. the only drill i recommend is to take a shot of whiskey or down a pint before each game, to build up your tolerence. than challenge an oppononent to whiskeypool.

I would imagine that the drills would be the same for any size table.

Which drills you focus on might change...

Speed control drills would be MUCH more important than say, long shot drills, so I could see someone putting together a collection of focal point drills depending on where you most often play, but I wouldn't think the actual drills themselves would change.

Bert Kinister's early tapes were filmed on bar boxes. Pretty good stuff, I thought.

IMO just practicing the break has to top the list.

Regarding practicing on a bar box, one of the best bar box players in the world has said to break a full rack and then run them in order. It will help train you to deal with two common problems on a bar box: Clusters and Traffic.

i play on bar boxes a lot since i dont always want to drive 30 minutes to the pool hall. since i dont like doing actual drills on a bar table while there are a bunch of people present because it may kill any action there. i will play left handed against casual players.

not really a drill, but good practice when you are off the big table since it gives your opponents a handicap if you are playing with people who dont shoot much.

if nobody is really around, i work on cuts with the tavern ball to learn how it throws the object ball. ive bitten the dust on some long walk shots or rail shots because of the tavern ball.
