Bar box...how big?

Bring back SNOOKER!

First English Billiards died, now snooker seems to be in terminal decline from its heyday of the 70s and 80s.

It seems that the younger generations simply do not have the attention-span to play such games? If it's not full of light, noise, wild action/movement, drama, and fast results/gratification they don't like it?

The BAR tables in the Northwest have been 4 x 8's forever! And they are definitely bar tables! One or two in every bar, all the regulation size 8' table (44" x 88" playing surface). I was surprised the first time I ventured up there way back in the 70's. I thought it would be good for me, since I was used to playing on 9' tables. That is until I ran into Mike Zimmerman who roasted me! ;)

About 95% of the bar tables in Washington State are 4x8's I use to recover about 1,000 of them a year in over 300 bars, and yep...Mike Z can roast and BBQ most players on a 4x8:D
