Bar table gambling

I've talked with a few people about matching up on the bar tables and was wondering what everyone's thought was on my idea. Unless you are getting something like the 7, 8, and 9. 6 and the last four. I've suggested games on the wire rather than spot balls. Such as, rather than a guy giving me the 7, I'd rather have a couple of games going to 9. I don't feel like help running out is needed when you only play the 7 or 8 under someone on the bar table. You need help winning the set. What do yall think? (haven't did a thread in a while, this is the best I could come up with lol)

I always prefer giving and receiving games on the wire instead of additional wild balls. It just adds too much luck to a game that already has too much luck in it.

I would much rather get games if playing someone relatively close in speed. If there is a significant gap in talent, wild balls may be a better game. In some situations(and this really shouldn't happen but there are degenerates out there like me) wild balls and games may be necessary.

next question. How much is a game going to nine worth? a ball, half a ball? Guess it depends on the player.

You are right, it probably depends on the players and table. I would say 1/2 ball, give or take a little. I know people would say a game to 7 on a big table was like the called 7. This may not be accurate, but I have heard more then one person say something close to this.
