any one know the difference between the two? I'm trying to research for my tavern, I have built a solid oak 12 by 12 by 10 horseshoe shape bar and trying to decide what to use. bar top self leveling or shooting a few coats polyurethane.
 
I just used some type of high build epoxy from Home Depot. I poured it over a cement counter top I built and it came out perfect. I sanded with 320 and moved my way up to 600 I think. I wasn't looking for a glossy finish. if that's your goal, sand up to 1500 and buff it out and you should be good.
 
The pour on epoxy is much slower than 20 minutes and will level out much better.
