Barbara, It was good to put a face to the name I see so often on the forums. AND --- I Really appreciated the bag of nuts. BUT --- you should have warned me, as I shared some with friends, they became very aggresssive and I had to run like hell to "SAVE MY NUTS"!

Thanks Curt for the kind words!! I really try to make them the best way I can with that old 1923 antique stove I have for now. It takes a while to get that sucker up to snuff and then I have to monitor how high the flame level is with the burners. Plus, having a stove thermometer has helped for the past 20 years.

This year, I am buying a 48", 6 burner with griddle, dual fuel, full oven with companion oven, GE Monagram series free standing sucker. I can make 16 lbs of nuts at a time. Plus, I think it will be a hoot to see the kitties trying to stick their position on the hardwood floors in the kitchen when I turn on the 1500 CFM fan we're installing. (just kidding - only the little 6.5 lb Girlie-girl will be scratching the floors! :) )

I mentioned to Dawn and Allen that I might get a booth next year to sell nuts and Allen said he'd go in with me on that since he saw someone in NC make out over $45K on his deal, and they weren't as good as what I make.

I'm really thinking about going into the biz, but I need to know what kinds of licenses I need to proceed to make and sell food stuffs.

Take care and enjoy YOUR NUTS!!!

And hey, I hafta say, they always work for Trenton Marty Ciccia. Last time, he worked the Seniors Brackets, this time, the Open Bracket.

Thank you Voodoo!! My mind says I can be the "next Mrs Fields" with my nuts and I think I can do better with a great marketing strategy and kick ass at Expos AND Internet marketing. We're working on it!!

As I sit here reading this, and chomping on my scrumptious nuts, I think of my dear friend Barbara :D

Thank you so much, they are the best!

Barbara, the nuts were awesome and thank you so much for not only giving me some of my own but for also giving me some for the DCC raffle! All you folks out there wondering what they taste like??? You'll soon get a chance!

I had a small bag open in the tourney room and ScottR, Koop, & his friend Matt devoured the whole darn bag! :p

That about settles it. Next year I'm going to have to make sure I get there just to try these nuts.

Barbara, as far as going into the business. I would suggest the poker tournament scene. Don't forget about us, but the phrase is more popular in Poker. At the poker tournament title the stand "I've Got The Nuts".

Hell yes. Those damn things are addictive.

Thanks Barbara, great to meet you.

Not sure what I liked better. The nuts or the Boti/Justis combo :D

Both Barbara's and Eydie Romano's nuts were quite addictive. As a "nut" (ooops, mistyped it as nit, freudian slip???) myself I find that I am well qualified to judge the quality of nuts. Both of these people's were deliciously sweet and spicy.

If you can keep your overhead very low and figure out a good distribution channel, I think it might sell.

Check out the chick that started "Lara bars". Try Googleling it.

Yes they were!! Eydie even left me with a styrofoam cup full of them but they got swiped overnight. Go figure that. Four bags of Hershey kisses were left but the nuts were purloined.

My nuts don't come close to Barbara's. Mine were made with Splenda and didn't have the stick or appeal that hers do. I gave her the recipe and hopefully, she will be able to tweak it and make it her own.:D

Did I mention how much how generous she was with all of the AZBers and her nuts? Did I mention that my nuts got swiped in the pro arena? lol, yes they did, I was nutless.. I can't imagine who.... would have wanted my nuts! :D Except EVERYONE!!!:D

Nuts

Barbara I'm Thanking you for the NUTS but some reason Beck is cursing you! Maybe it's got something to do with those South Beach or Body For Life thingies. I don't know, I just shake my head yes most of the time.

Hey Eydie!

I need that recipe again. I went to Splenda's website today and I'm thinking of a couple of experiments. PM me, Babe.

Are you serious? You got your bag swiped? Which one, the "Official Snacker" bag or the "Serious Addict" bag? Who did you suspect was the perp?
