Barry Hearn's Empire Documentary Coming to Netflix

Karl Boyes mentioned during a commentary a couple days ago that a Netflix crew was filming at the U.S. Open. Now I know why after this announcement was made today.

A new series following Barry Hearn, his son Eddie and the whole Matchroom team at their Essex-based HQ is coming to Netflix! The documentary series will dive into the drama of the family empire that has become synonymous with British sporting culture.

i heard boyes mentioning the netflix crew too. was hoping for a pool or pool player documentary, but i guess it's nice that they at least include pool. i assume boxing will be the most covered sport

Yep. His son, Eddie, favors boxing. Darts will probably feature prominent in there too because of the rise in popularity in recent years.
